Just One Summer is romance-drama film directed by Mac Alejandre, starring one of the hottest Kapuso love teams in the generation Julie Anne San Jose and Elmo Magalona.

It features Joel Torre, Alice Dixson, Cherry Pie Picache, Buboy Garrovillo and Ms. Gloria Romero in a special role.

Just One Summer movie is with a simple story that shows good moral values. This is really a recommended for the whole family.  It is fun, entertaining without sex and violence. This gives lessons and happiness to all, and especially for the young people.

Just One Summer movie plot:

A rebellious, rich boy spends the summer with his father and his mistress while waiting for the annulment of his father and his mother's marriage. He despises his father and  has considered him long dead in his life.  During his stay for summer vacation, he gets to reunite with his childhood friend, a poor girl who lives near the father’s farm. She secretly offers to work for his father so she can save up for her enrollment, meanwhile deceiving her own father that she is a scholar. The two meet and comfort each other amidst their problems and they fall for each other as time goes on and as they get to know each other.

 “Just One Summer”is showing in theaters nationwide.

Last night I was in SM Megamall to experience the super ultimate food trip and of course, enjoy the worthy food shop.

The first thing, I walk around the Megamall because the mega food sale is with more than a hundred dining establishments on sale, nonstop dining discounts and promos, huge price offs & delicious offers – Buy 1 Take 1 s, Eat all you cans, free appetizers, free desserts, free drinks, and many more!

I cannot deny that I want to dine before going shop, so I go to one of my family’s favorite pizza restaurant – Pizza Hut!

My family love pizza, and honestly I love Pizza Hut as ever. Even when I was working in an office,   I can relieve my stressful day when I stay and eat at a Pizza Hut restaurant. There are lots of people who have their pastime eating pizza. It is really up to you or in the group in which you prefer to eat the pizza. Pizza Hut have their yummy offer this weekend food trip - now are having their buy one take one promo as one of the SM Mega Food Sale offer.

I had the super supreme pizza – a feast of pepperoni, ham, beef, pork sausage, Italian sausage, red onions, mushrooms, green peppers and black olives.

One thing that surprised me  about this pizza is it was a chicken and cheese pizza  and found I liked the chicken pizza because the spices gave it a bit more bite. Normally, pizzas like this don't fill me up. But, this is definitely an exception. I had more than 2 pizza slice of pizza.

This was a amazing yummy dinner last night at Pizza Hut Bistro. And also my enjoyable food shop I bring home for my kids. Thanks so much to SM Marketing Head Ms Sean Luarca,  SM Megamall and Azrael Coladilla of Azrael's Merryland  for inviting me to witness and experience the  SM Megamall Food Sale.  And thanks to Pizza Hut Bistro’s Sir Mark and Jhin who really give me time and chat with me when I was there. Thanks guys!

Angara Calls For Joint Efforts to Combat Corruption

In a bid to eradicate corruption in the country and in support of the administration’s anti-corruption crusade, Senator Edgardo J. Angara called on government officials, members of the academe, media and civil society to take part in the upcoming Fifth Global Conference of Parliamentarians Against Corruption, which will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) on January 30 to February 2, 2013.

Angara, Vice Chair of the Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (GOPAC) Executive Committee and Charter President of Southeast Asian Parliamentarians Against Corruption (SEAPAC), announced that over 300 lawmakers and 200 observers from over 46 countries will be participating in one of the biggest anti-corruption events in the world.

“The goal of this event is to exchange ideas and learn from our fellow parliamentarians who are all steadfast in their desire to eradicate corruption in government,” he said in a press conference on Thursday.

Said conference will carry the theme "Good laws. Good leaders. Good Citizens." 

“By hosting the 2013 GOPAC conference, we hope to demonstrate our untiring efforts to cleanse our government of corruption--a plague in our house eroding resources that ought to have gone toward improving the welfare of our people.”

Angara also commended the strides made by the government in the fight against corruption but emphasized that a lot more needs to be done.

Senator Franklin M. Drilon, Ways and Means Chair of the GOPAC 2013 Steering Committee, credited this to the "leadership by example" of President Aquino. He said that aside from enacting anti-corruption measures, the Filipino people should have a collective "zero tolerance" for corruption.

Transparency International-Philippines President Dr. Georgina Encanto, who was also present at the press conference, discussed the media’s role in promoting transparency and good governance.

The Senate of the Philippines, together with the SEAPAC, are the main proponents of the conference, with the full support of the government and the Office of the President. The Manila Steering Committee also includes retired Chief Justice Artermio V. Panganiban, Dean Georgina Encanto, and the Department of Tourism.

In his message, President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III said, 

“The selection of the Philippines as host of the biannual conference of GOPAC affirms our collective efforts to establish the principles of transparency and accountability in our society. My gratitude to GOPAC for this opportunity to lead this forum and to Sen. Edgardo J. Angara for his endeavors on behalf of GOPAC as Vice Chair of this organization and head of the Steering Committee of this conference.”

LOL “Love On-Line” Web Show with Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez

Real life couple Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez will be launching their Reality TV show online which they called Love On-Line (LOL) that will kick off today (August 19) at their UstreamTV channel – http://www.ustream.tv/channel/pinoyrealTV. LOL: Love On Line will show their life as husband and wife.

Love On-Line show will showcase their travels together where they will be streaming the video clips that Robin took like the food, sceneries and important details about their tour. The Love On Line will be a regular show that will be streaming every Sunday at 3 in the afternoon in their UstreamTV channel. This will be showcasing other topics aside from travel.

Mariel excites her to share their travels and stories to their followers who supported them as a couple which she also mentioned that their relationship is continuously working in progress as they keep it strong and happy.

“I love Robin so much, he makes me smile and laugh. He gives meaning to my life. I thank God for all the blessings I receive, and one of them is Robin. Just thinking of him makes me smile. Mahaba pa ang daang aming tatahakin sa buhay but I am not afraid because I know he will always be there beside me. Just thinking of him makes me smile. I am happy and contended with my life. I'm at peace with myself,” Mariel said.

She has no qualms sharing her life with Robin with everyone who cares to watch it on the web. “We have good intentions, we want to inspire. Malaking factor ang nakikita mong may ngumingiti kapag magkasama kami ni Robin. And we owe it to these people.” Mariel said during a mini press conference held  at Sir Boy’s Food Republique in Panay Avenue, Quezon City August 15.

“One of the reasons why we’re going to do it this way is because Robin is in ABS-CBN and I’m with TV5. It’s the only way we can have to have a show together,” she explained.  The show is on the internet is simple, they belong to different networks , the only way the fans of the couple will see them together is in neutral ground – cyberspace.

“We’re doing this dahil maraming naniniwala sa love namin, at para na rin sa mga hindi naniniwala, pati na rin sa mga nag-ju-judge. So ito, papakita namin sa inyo na puwede itong mangyari, na may ganitong klaseng love.”

“Dati wala akong pakialam sa housework or sa kitchen,” Mariel laughed. “Ang collection ko noon Chanel but now bumibili na ako ng bone marrow sa grocery!”

“My first job on TV was for GMA Network’s Extra Challenge, and that’s a reality show so I’m really used to having a camera follow me around. Si Robin naman he’s been an actor for so long so sanay na sanay na din siya dito.”

“In this modern world of exclusive dating and living in, I suggest taking the plunge when you know it’s love. That’s what I did, and everyday I’m living that life. This is my new life—being the wife of an action superstar, the wife of a Muslim. My new web show is about our differences, our similarities, our everyday life, and our journey together. The show reflects the world as I see it. And my world is Robin.”

Mariel cancels birthday party as gesture of sympathy for flood victims last week. So instead of hearing well-wishers say “happy birthday!” Mariel would rather be greeted with a hearty “congratulations!”
