The Women’s Health Concerns More Filipinas Are No Longer Keeping Quiet About

Eluvo Health highlights women-centered care that helps patients talk, test, and treat in one visit

For many women, reproductive health concerns such as period pain, postpartum discomfort, vaginal dryness, perimenopause, menopause, and irregular cycles have long been brushed aside as something they simply have to live with. But that is starting to change, as more women become more open to talking about intimate health issues they once ignored, downplayed, or were told were just part of everyday life.

As more women look for answers to what they are experiencing physically and emotionally, Eluvo Health is helping meet the need for more accessible and women-centered care. The Philippines' pioneering women's healthcare clinic offers services that address reproductive health issues across every stage of a woman’s journey—from fertility and maternal health to sexual wellness, hormone balance, perimenopause, and menopause.

“More women are realizing that symptoms they once accepted as normal may need attention,” said Dr. Renaissa Yu, OB-GYN at Eluvo Health. “Patients are asking more direct questions and many are more aware now these concerns can be checked and, in many cases, managed.”

Dr. Renaissa Yu, OB-GYN at Eluvo Health Clinic

Instead of simply saying they feel “off” or “uncomfortable,” many ask directly about what their symptoms could mean, what tests they may need, and what treatment options are available. This shift may be linked to easier access to health information online, as well as the growing openness of women sharing similar experiences. Seeing others speak up can make it easier for patients to raise concerns they may have once kept to themselves.

The concerns women are bringing up

The concerns women raise often vary by age and life stage. Among women in their reproductive years, common questions center on sexual and gynecologic health, including STIs, genital infections, Pap smears, HPV, and cervical cancer screening. For women in perimenopause and menopause, consultations more often focus on hormonal changes and their effects on daily life, including symptoms such as vaginal dryness and reduced libido. Postpartum care is another area where more support remains needed, with a 2014 Philippines-based study pointing to gaps in postpartum healthcare use and low awareness of postpartum health concerns.

Even before visiting the clinic, many women are already searching for answers. Online inquiries through Eluvo Health’s website often mention endometriosis, fertility or trying to conceive, brain fog, PCOS, and questions about available diagnostic services. Still, some long-held beliefs continue to delay care, with painful periods, irregular menstruation, and menopausal symptoms often dismissed as something women simply have to endure. Doctors say these conversations become easier once patients feel they are in a safe, respectful, and judgment-free space.
Care that works for real life

For many women, one of the biggest barriers to care is time. Between work, family, and everyday responsibilities, it can be difficult to schedule multiple appointments across different clinics or providers. “Women are trying to fit healthcare into already full schedules,” said Dr. Yu. “Our goal is to make care easier to access and easier to complete, with trusted doctors guiding patients through each step.”

Doctors of Eluvo Health Clinic, reflecting the clinic’s women-centered approach to care across different life stages, from reproductive health and pregnancy to postpartum recovery and menopause.

To make this easier, Eluvo Health follows a simple care path: Talk, Test, and Treat. Patients can start with a consultation with a women’s health doctor, go through diagnostics and imaging with results available in as fast as 60 minutes or less, and receive a care plan based on their needs and goals. By bringing these steps together in one setting, Eluvo Health hopes to make it easier for women to move from uncertainty to clearer answers without having to navigate care in separate stages.

No woman should have to wonder whether her symptoms matter or wait for them to get worse before seeking help. They should try to remember that better conversations can lead to earlier care, clearer answers, and more informed decisions at every stage of life. For women dealing with pain, cycle changes, postpartum symptoms, vaginal dryness, or other intimate health concerns, the first step may be as simple as asking the question at Eluvo Health.

JING: The Creator-First App Celebrities Arci Muñoz, Nijel de Mesa, Angeli Khang Are Already Calling ‘The Future of Social Media‘

Something big just dropped—and no, it’s not just another social app.

Jing just made its global debut in Singapore, and let’s just say… it understood the assignment.

We’re talking a full-house launch at Golden Village Funan in Singapore, packed with creators, media, and industry insiders—all there to witness a platform that’s flipping the script on how social media works.
Co-Founder Chairman Jing Turla

Co-Founder Jing Turla described it as a platform where creators aren’t just users—they’re the priority. A space where communities grow, opportunities are open, and your content actually works for you.

Translation: your scroll time might finally pay off.

Because here’s the real tea: most platforms let you post… but Jing lets you earn.

Like actually earn.

During the launch, CEO & Founder Glen John Labasug called it out—billions of people use social media, but only a tiny percentage make money from it. Jing is here to change that by building monetization straight into the experience. No extra hoops. No weird algorithms gatekeeping your bag.

And the vibe? Unreal.

Marion Muller

Hosted by Swiss creator Marion Muller, with appearances from Megan Foo and Kathy Wong, the whole event felt more like a concert than a corporate launch. Then add celebs like Arci Muñoz, Angeli Khang, and Nijel de Mesa into the mix… yeah, it was a moment.

But beyond the hype, Jing is pushing something bigger.

And the best part? It’s already live.

Jing is now available for free on Google Play and the App Store—so whether you’re a content creator, side hustler, or just someone tired of posting for free… this might be your sign.

The future of social media? It’s giving creator-first. Download Jing.

Join. Interact. Network. Grow.

Puregold Highlights Sari-Sari Stores’ Role in Driving Grassroots Commerce and MSME Growth

In its final installment of the Sari-Sari Stories, Puregold releases “Pangalan,” a moving tribute to the sari-sari stores that continue to power daily life, grassroots enterprise, and community connection across the Philippines.

Following “Ways,” “The Sign,” and “The Witness,” Puregold broadens the conversation from nostalgia to economic relevance, highlighting how sari-sari stores continue to serve as accessible retail touchpoints, community anchors, and entry-level enterprises that support household livelihoods in the country.

Sari-sari stores go beyond informal neighborhood retail. They function as last-mile commerce points that respond to everyday consumer needs with proximity, familiarity, and flexible purchasing options. Their resilience has allowed them to remain relevant even as the retail landscape continues to evolve.

That economic role is matched by social relevance. At the heart of Pangalan is the idea that sari-sari stores are more than neighborhood shops: they are trusted spaces that people turn to not only for essentials, but for connection and reliability. The film captures this dual role in distinctly Filipino terms: the store as tanungan, tambayan, and takbuhan.

The narrative is reinforced by appearances of OPM artists Jhoanna Robles of BINI, Stell Ajero of SB19, and Skusta Clee, whose personal recollections reflect the deep familiarity of sari-sari stores in Filipino life. Their participation adds cultural relevance to a message ultimately anchored in enterprise, accessibility, and community-based retail.

Puregold’s focus on this segment remains rooted in mass-market demand and the practical realities of everyday consumption. By spotlighting community-based retail, the company reinforces its relevance at the grassroots level while drawing attention to the vital contribution of MSMEs to the domestic economy.

The timing is equally strategic, with MSMEs already looking ahead at the upcoming Puregold Tindahan Ni Aling Puring Sari-Sari Store Convention in May. The annual event has become a key platform for sari-sari store owners, entrepreneurs, and partner suppliers, underscoring Puregold’s enduring commitment to small business development and ecosystem growth.
