L.A. Santos with millenial version for "Isang Linggong Pag-Ibig"

Young singer-actor L.A. Santos now embodies millenial version for "Isang Linggong Pag-Ibig" revival.


I called him #Petmalu, teen singing idol last time I met him. L.A. has done quite a remarkable job in the entertainment industry. A recording artist under Star Music, L.A.  has several songs that hit the radio stations including "Miss Terror," "Mine," "Ikaw Kasi," "Bakit Ang Pag-Ibig," "Hanggang Kailan," "When I Was Your Man," "Forever's Not Enough," "One Greatest Love" and "Tinamaan, " "Grown Up Man," and "Anyare."

Thus veteran singer and entertainment producer Imelda Papin described young singer-actor L.A. Santos 

“Given his qualities as an emergent millennial artist in the contemporary music scene, L.A. is the best to revive the song among the male singers,” Ms. Papin stated, adding, “So we finalized the idea. I said, sige i-record na natin. Sabi ko, ako na mag-produce para mas maganda.”

The millennial take of the song gives a more upbeat and RnB kind of feel for the song which embodies L.A. Santos as well as a young adult.




L.A.'s latest single was produced under Papin Entertainment Productions, for release by  ABS-CBN’s Star Music.

A composition of Mon Del Rosario, the original Imelda Papin song "Isang Linggong Pag-Ibig" was released in 1992 and became an instant phenomenal hit. It dominated the local airwaves for a substantial time period making the producer earn a multiple platinum sales record.




LA felt very grateful and honored that among all the singers today, he was given the opportunity to sing a classic song that many can relate to. 

At the recent blog conference held at Papa Kim's in Tomas Morato , Quezon City, LA shared how he met Ms. Imelda Papin. He said that he was the front act in the Jukebox Queens Concert.

During their rehearsal he got the chance to talk to Ms. Papin about his style in singing, his genre of songs, his love for classic songs and that he told Ms. Papin that he is a big fan of her music. 

Ms. Papin gave him a lot of advice when it comes to singing. Gladly that Ms. Papin even introduced him to her vocal coach. 

LA said that he was a big fan of Ms. Papin and he also love the song "Isang Linggong Pag-Ibig" as he always listen from his mom, who also a fan of the song and of the well known OPM singer Jukebox Queen Imelda Papin. 

L.A   also loves to act. He recently was part of the action film "MARIA" starred by Cristine Reyes under Viva Films. When asked who he wishes to work with in the showbiz, he mentioned "Janella Salvador." 




The emergent recording artist, L.A. also said that he will also try to produce and continue to compose his own songs and, prioritize his study. He is a student at University of Santo Tomas (UST).
