Pfizer supports PRC’s COVID-19 efforts

In 2020, Pfizer and Pfizer Foundation announced their commitment to donate $40M for worldwide relief efforts for COVID-19 through international non-government organizations (NGOs) and partners. Among those chosen beneficiary organizations was the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) for its efforts in relief operations and for taking the lead in performing more than one million RT-PCR tests in the Philippines. Last January, Pfizer Philippines formally turned over a $100,000 (P5 million) grant to PRC to support its COVID-19 relief efforts and projects. The virtual turnover event (in photo) was attended by Pfizer Country Manager Andreas Riedel, Pfizer Public Affairs Director Noel Borlongan, PRC Chairman and CEO Senator Richard Gordon, PRC Secretary General Elizabeth Zavalla, PRC Biomolecular Laboratories head Dr. Paulyn Ubial, and American Red Cross Country Representative Shir Shah Ayobi.

This 2021, the new ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED now features AAS Plus with a Tilting ScreenPad plus design that lifts the 14.1-inch ScreenPad Plus by up to 9.5° and also slightly raises the back of the laptop which improves the airflow by 36% that can avoid overheating even when used for longer hours. The improved ergonomic angle and a brightness bump to 400 nits on the 2021 ScreenPad Plus also helps prevent screen reflections and improves the touchscreen experience.

4K OLED Display

Color accuracy is also one of the main requirements of content creators and luckily the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED has a 15.6-inch 4K OLED touchscreen that supports 3840 x 2160 resolution that produces true-to-life professional grade colors with the Pantone Validated Display plus an exceptionally wide color gamut with 100% DCI P3 and 133% sRGB coverage. Whether for content creation or consumption, the 4K OLED screen will surely be stunning. Aside from that, the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 also produces true blacks with it’s VESA Display HDR 500 and has a 0.2 Response time for blur-free experience. New ScreenXpert Control Center

ScreenPad Plus features a brand-new Control Center UI and is now a lot more snappy long with several new apps, enable more intuitive interactions between the main display and the ScreenPad Plus. Users can adjust the location of the Control Center and snap it to the right, left, or bottom, according to preference. A new Control Center button makes it possible to minimize the task bar into a floating button, and enables an auto-hide function which hides the task bar entirely. User can also create a task group with selected applications that can open in one single click.

Control Panel

To help creators accelerate workflows with the ScreenPad Plus, ASUS has added a unique and new Control Panel app to ScreenXpert 2.0. This function currently supports Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom Classic. When the user opens any of these apps, the Control Panel app opens a corresponding panel suited to each software set, enabling commonly used functions such as zoom, brightness, and contrast via sliders, buttons and dials. Creators can fully customize the functions and icon positioning for each of the app specific decks. The Control Panel will automatically launch the deck assigned to each of the supported apps.
