UNIQLO x Theory" 2022 Spring/Summer Collection Launches in March

A minimalist wardrobe for everyday comfort


Global apparel retailer UNIQLO today announces the latest collection in the "UNIQLO x Theory" collaboration with New York-based fashion brand Theory. The 2022 Spring/Summer collaboration features modern tailoring in relaxed silhouettes with an emphasis on versatility and ease. This is stylish LifeWear for everyday comfort. The WOMENS line will be released on March 25, followed by the MENS line a month later at the end of April online and in selected stores across Philippines.

Popular Ultra Light series available in the WOMENS lineup for the first time

The Ultra Light series, featuring quick-drying, stretchy, and lightweight fabrics, which is a representative product of UNIQLO, was met with an enthusiastic reception in last years MENS Spring/Summer collection. This year, Ultra Light jackets and pants are available for the WOMENS line as well. Both MENS and WOMENS items embody Theorys signature urban sophistication reimagined to accentuate comfort. The effortless styles evoke the essence of the season.

 A minimalist wardrobe focused on comfort

The WOMENS line features a dress in an ultra-stretch fabric with an elegant drape that billows from below the chest, and a nylon parka in a relaxed silhouette to wear lightly over the shoulders. The MENS line includes tops that pair well with a jacket, such as polo shirts in raglan sleeve for ease of movement, and classy cotton T-shirts in a shallow V-neck style. This broad lineup of styles combines the functionality of UNIQLO with the minimalist design of Theory.

Whether you are binge-watching a series, finishing some tasks, or just simply hitting the sack, we have a few ideas for you that would satisfy those cravings with less guilt!

Guiltless Bread Pizza

Upgrade your leftover loaves of bread into an instant, tasty, and guiltless variation of pizza. All you need is to have a few ingredients and your guiltlessly tasty snack is ready. Here is how to make it:

Ingredients:

6 large wheat bread or multi grain bread (preferred)

Extra virgin olive oil

Toppings For Bread Pizza

Pizza sauce

1 medium onion, cubed

1 medium bell pepper, cubed

1 medium tomato, cubed (optional)

5 pieces Mekeni GoLite Chicken Longanisa, steamed and cubed

1 to 1 1/4 cups grated mozzarella cheese or quick melt cheese

pepper and chili flakes to taste

Procedure

1. Start by lightly toasting the bread on your pan. Use oil as needed. 

2. Arrange your pizza bread by spreading some pizza sauce on the lightly toasted side of the bread while still on the pan. Top it with onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, other optional vegetables like basil and olives, and the gluten-free Mekeni GoLite Chicken Longanisa pieces. Remember to keep the flame to its lowest to not burn your bread pizza.

3. Add some crushed black pepper depending on your taste. 

4. Top your bread pizza with grated mozzarella cheese or any quick-melt cheese that you have. Place a lid on the bread pizza and cook until the cheese melts and the bread is toasted.

5. Remove the piece with a spatula and place it on a serving plate. Sprinkle some red chili flakes or oregano if you want.

6. Serve while it is hot.


Chicken Longanisa Tteokbokki

If you are still hungover from the last Korean chick flick or KDrama that you recently binged watch on, cook up this easy and guiltless tteokbokki!

Ingredients:

1 pack Mekeni GoLite Chicken Longanisa 250g, cut diagonally into coins

3 tbsp oil

1/4 cup garlic, minced (about 12 cloves)

1 large white onion, sliced into strips

4 cups water

1 tsp soy sauce

2 tsp sugar

1 1/2 tsp dashi powder or seasoning granules

2 tbsp gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)

3 cups Korean rice cakes (about 42 pcs)

sliced spring onions or leeks and sesame seeds for garnish

Procedure:

1. Put oil in the pan and fry the Mekeni GOLite Chicken Longanisa pieces until lightly brown. After this, transfer to a bowl and set aside.

2. In the same pan, sauté garlic and onion until fragrant and translucent.

3. Add water, sugar, soy sauce, seasoning granules, and gochujang. Let it boil.

4. Gently add the rice cakes and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice cakes are soft.

5. Put the Mekeni GOLite Chicken Longanisa back in the pan and slowly simmer for about a minute until heated through.

6. Top with spring onions and sesame seeds. Serve while hot.

MDRT Family of Brands Expand Definition of Success in the Profession with New Awards and Rankings

The MDRT Family of Brands, which includes MDRT for high-performing financial services professionals, the MDRT Academy for aspiring MDRT members, and MDRT Global Services for leaders in financial services, has added to the portfolio of honors available for exceptional members and their companies. With these new initiatives, the MDRT Family of Brands recognizes and elevates the exceptional performance of companies and financial services professionals.

As it stands, Philippine companies that reached MDRT’s Top 100 Global Companies in 2021 are Pru Life Insurance Corp. of UK at 42nd, Sun Life of Canada-Philippines Inc. at 53rd, Manulife-Philippines at 79th, and Philippine American Life & General Insurance at 89th. By redefining success for finance professionals, new entries will be able to enter the fold of established and recognized insurance companies alongside the 1,907 MDRT Philippine members as of 2021. With the expanded MDRT awards and rankings, Philippine insurance companies can legitimize their services in the eyes of the public.

According to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, only 48% of adults had savings in 2020 but 68% of them kept their savings at home while 32% had a savings account with a bank. Moreover, only 18% had insurance. In MDRT’s commitment to delivering value to the insurance profession, financial instruments can be perceived as essential buffers to job loss, inflation, and other unforeseen vulnerabilities, especially when proactive measures are necessary to secure Filipino families from socio economic crisis during the pandemic.  

 MDRT Expanded Company Rankings

Using a more holistic approach to measuring achievement, MDRT will add categories to its Company Rankings beginning in 2022. These new categories will recognize companies that achieve excellence in the areas of MDRT membership growth, retention, and longevity—areas which demonstrate a commitment to investing in their advisors’ personal and professional development. The eight new rankings include:

·       Top 25 Companies – Total Membership Growth

·       Top 25 Companies – Percentage of Membership Growth

·       Top 25 Companies – Total Members who Rejoined

·       Top 25 Companies – Percentage of Members who Rejoined

·       Top 25 Companies – Total Number of 5-9 Year Members

·       Top 25 Companies – Percentage of 5-9 Year Members

·       Top 25 Companies – Percentage of Qualifying and Life Members

MDRT Global Services Culture of Excellence Award

With the MDRT Global Services pilot program underway as the newest addition to the MDRT Family of Brands, members are actively honing their leadership skills and establishing an MDRT culture of excellence within their agencies. The Culture of Excellence Awards provide a framework for measuring success within MDRT Global Services, evaluating applicants according to an agency scorecard, which was developed following extensive research into key benchmarks for agency success.

The benchmarks identify six key aspects, including promotion, retention, recruitment, persistency, Whole Person, and membership in MDRT’s Family of Brands—aspects which set the requirements for award qualification. To qualify for the Gold, Platinum, and Diamond awards, agency leaders must meet three, four, or five of the following criteria, respectively:

·       Production: 25% increase in production year-over-year

·       Retention: 75% annual retention

·       Recruitment: 20% annual agency recruitment rate

·       Persistency: 13-month persistency rate of 90%

·       Whole Person: Agency community involvement, MDRT Global Services Learning Engagement score (measured by attendance at webcasts, Annual Meeting/Global Conference, and completement of assigned modules in Harvard ManageMentor)

·       Membership in MDRT Family of Brands: 100% of agents must be members of MDRT or the MDRT Academy.
