Set aside any notion that The Bike Playground at Circulo Verde is only for those who are into biking. The facility aims to promote cycling as a leisure activity that can be enjoyed by the young and old, from beginners to professional riders.
World Class Pump Track
The Bike Playground holds the distinction of being the first signature covered asphalt pump track exclusively designed for Circulo Verde by bemedalled cyclist and international designer Claudio Caluori under his Velosolutions company.
Swiss-born designer Claudio discovered his passion for mountain biking at a young age and went on to ride competitively from the late 1990s. While serving as team manager for Gstaad-Scott, a World Championships winning team of riders, Claudio started building world-class pump tracks, pump parks, and downhill trails all over the world. “There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing the children’s smiles during their first laps on a pump track we just built,” says Caluori.
Among the world-class tracks Velosolutions has built can be found in Thailand, Indonesia, Canada, Switzerland and New York, USA. The Bike Playground at Circulo Verde will become part of that roster.
Outdoor Track
Aside from the signature asphalt pump track, The Bike Playground features an outdoor trail that will provide the full biking experience for riders of all ages. The trail will cater to all skill levels and all types of bicycles from mountain bikes and road bikes to BMX and Cyclocross.
“Being in the middle of the city, The Bike Playground at Circulo Verde is a good venue for those who want to try biking and to those who want to squeeze in their biking time before or after work," shares Parabanne Mendoza, international award-winning Philippine mountain biker, track builder, and Fox Athlete.
