Kalinga Day Care Center (KDCC) is a non-formal, non-structured alternative learning environment meant to provide a comfortable and safe environment for children ages 1.6  to 5.5 years old, under the UP Center for Women's and Gender Studies (CWGS) based in Diliman, Quezon City. Their goals are to meet the developmental needs of the children in a gender-fair and peaceful environment, and to promote positive self-concept in children.

Kalinga Day Care Center (KDCC) started as a special project of the UP Center for
Women's and Gender Studies (UPCWGS), formerly called UP Center for Women's Studies AP CWS) and the UP CWS Foundation, Inc. (UPCWSFI). It was conceived in response to the result of a UPCWS commissioned 1995 feasibility study on support system for working mothers in UP Diliman through the establishment of a daycare facility in campus.

The KDCC as a non-formal, non-structured learning environment focuses on the positive self-image and love of learning. It has a "play-centered and homelike environment" that engages in "gender-fair and appropriate learning activities" to ensure "“holistic development and self-directed learning" It also networks with various colleges and student organizations for special activities and programs. And furthermore, parents, guardians and caregivers or yayas are regularly provided with gender responsive seminars on childhood care and development, laws, and other women's/gender related issues.

Project Kalinga aims to nurture spaces for the future. The areas which have undergone renovation are the reception area, teacher’s room, recreation area, kitchen area, storage room, and toilet.
