She also goes into how her love for her mother helped her on her path to success, saying, “I wouldn’t have become who I am today without Nanay. She’s always been my big angel.”

Be a MYX VJ this 2014 THE MYX VJ SEARCH IS BACK!

VJ search in the country from the Philippines’ number one music channel is back, as the MYX VJ Search 2014 kicks off this February. 

MYX has once again chosen to open its doors to all the young hopefuls to try out and show their stuff through a two-way process for applying—either online or through a walk-in audition.

There will be a series of auditions open to males and females aged 18 to 25 years old.

For walk-in auditions, the screening will be held at the ABS-CBN Audience Entrance in Quezon City from 10:00am until 5:00pm on February 1, 8, and 15. Applicants must bring a head shot, a full body photo, and 2 valid IDs.

For online auditions, application forms can be found at the official microsite of the MYX VJ Search 2014 (www.myxph.com/vjsearch), which will have to filled out. Applicants will then have to upload a 1-minute video answering the question, “Why should I be the next MYX VJ?,” a head shot, and full body photos. The online auditions will be open until February 12.

The MYX VJ Search is one of the country’s most sought after competitions among the Philippine youth. Many stars have their roots grounded in the competition, including current VJs Luis Manzano, Iya Villania, and Nikki Gil. Others who were products of the search were the likes of Robi Domingo, Chino Lui Pio, Bianca Roque, and many more.

Bruno Mars gives an amazing and high-energy performance during the 2014 Super Bowl Halftime Show held on Sunday, February 2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

Best moments with Bruno Mars - drummed, danced and crooned his way into America's heart, while the Red Hot Chili Peppers rocked out in tandem.With the Seahawks ahead of the Broncos 22-0 entering the half, fans across the nation were desperately in need of a boost. The halftime show delivered.

The 28-year-old singer started the show by having a children’s chorus sing his verse from the song “Billionaire” before he hopped on stage for a drum solo.

The 28-year-old pop star opened the show on the drums for "Billionaire," a Travie McCoy song on which he was featured in 2009, before launching into his doo-wop swagger with a hip-swinging performance of "Locked Out of Heaven."

Mars, who was named Billboard's 2013 Artist of the Year , followed those songs up with a rambunctious rendition of "Runaway Baby."

He closed the set with "Just The Way You Are," which began with an emotional video of troops addressing their loved ones.

Bruno then went into his songs “Locked Out of Heaven,” “Treasure,” “Runaway Baby,” “Give it Away” with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and finally his song which began with a tribute to army families. “Just the Way You Are.”

A group of students of varying sexual orientation form an after-school club as a discreet way to share their feelings and experiences.

Geography Club is a film adaptation of the award winning novel by Brent Hartinger. The movie is a comedy about teenagers who are discovering their sexual identities.

The high school students create a “Geography Club” which is actually a cover for an LGBT support group where the students can freely talk about their issues and give support with each other. It explores the teen’s hopes, values and dreams while on this journey of going public and offering the whole school support.

“Geography Club" is more of a subtle comedy that is very realistic and tied to events that we can relate to in one way or another.

"Geography Club" is a very nice movie that you should take the time to sit down and watch.

"GEOGRAPHY CLUB" is based on Brent Hartinger's best-selling critically acclaimed novel. "What am I looking for?" 16-year old Russell Middlebrook asks himself as he heads off on his newest adventure. Russell is still going on dates with girls. Kevin will do anything to prevent his football teammates from finding out what he is concealing. Min and Terese tell everyone they're really just good friends. And then there's Ike who can't figure out who he is or who he wants to be. But the truth is too hard to hide-at least from each other-so they form the Geography Club. Nobody else will discover the truth about them as no other students in their right mind would ever want to join as geography sounds so boring. Their secrets will be safe from their classmates. But are they? "Geography Club" is a smart, fast, moving and funny account of contemporary teenagers as they discover their own sexual identities, dreams and values and not merely live out their parents' desires and ambitions.
