Four ways to safely celebrate Halloween at home with PayMaya - This Halloween, there's no reason to be scared to go cashless!

Even though there aren’t any real Halloween parties this year, that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate the spookiest holiday at home! For those who still want to make the most of Halloween, there’s always a way to have fun at home—especially with the help of digital tools like PayMaya.

Here’s how you can still have a good Halloween and experience amazing deals with PayMaya:

1.     Dress up in an awesome Halloween costume

Halloween won’t be complete without a fun costume. Whether you’re dressing up as your favorite movie character or a popular 2020 personality, make sure that your outfit is social media-worthy by using a DIY costume from your closet or shopping at your go-to stores.

Find the outfit you need on Zalora and get a 15% discount when you pay at least P1,000 with your PayMaya virtual or physical card using the code PYMY2020. You can also get a chance to win a brand new motorcycle when you #ScanToPay at least P1,500 via PayMaya QR at The SM Store or via their Call to Deliver service. On top of this, you'll receive up to 100% Balik Bayad on your purchase, plus an additional P100 Balik Bayad when you spend an accumulated P2,500.

If you happen to be at the mall, you can also score these cashback perks when you #ScanToPay at PayMaya QR merchants. At Robinsons Department Store, the more you spend, the more you receive, because we're offering a P10,000 grand prize to the highest spender who will pay using PayMaya QR.

2.     Set up a game night with your friends

Since the party stays at home, why not hold a spooky online game night with your barkada? Scare the living daylights out of each other with your favorite horror games, or just make Halloween a reason to hang out and bond over any game you all like.

When you buy at least P300 worth of gaming pins using PayMaya, you can get a 5% Balik Bayad (with a maximum of P100), and every P300 spent will get you one raffle entry for a chance to win a year’s worth of gaming pins. Gaming this Halloween could definitely be rewarding!

3.     Chow down on Halloween with the best food

What’s a Halloween party without food? Make home feel like a party with food from your favorite restaurants! Order your favorite drinks and meals from places like Army Navy, Boozy.ph, Burger King, Domino’s, and a whole lot more—and get up to 100% Balik Bayad (with a maximum of P500) when you pay using your PayMaya mobile number, as well as an extra P100 when you spend a total of P2,000! (Check here for a full list of participating restaurants.)

4.     Trick or Treating? Do it online

The spirit of Halloween won’t be complete without the most fun thing to do – trick or treating! You can safely go Trick or Treating online by sending your friends and loved ones some virtual treats—just open up the Treats section on your PayMaya app and send them nice things like digital vouchers to their favorite restaurants and prepaid load. What’s even better is that sending them load gets you 5% Balik Bayad, and extra P100 Balik Bayad when you spend a total of P600 on Smart and TNT prepaid load.

With all these awesome things you can get from PayMaya, there’s no reason for this year's celebration to be dull.

Globe Introduces Mobile Health Solution with GoHealth

More and more Filipinos are looking to invest in insurance plans nowadays as a way to protect themselves and their families from unexpected high medical expenses especially now that we are still in the middle of a pandemic. However, with so many to choose from in the market, what’s preventing most from getting an insurance is the price of availing one.

Low-income households, for example, may see the cost of an insurance plan as something that is beyond what their budget can permit, leaving them to be the most vulnerable when it comes to sudden health emergencies.

Recognizing the need for an affordable and easy to access healthcare plan, Globe extends its services beyond connectivity yet again to become a partner of Filipinos in recreating better days by providing a way to make health security within reach for everyone.

As such, Globe has partnered with no.1 non-life insurance provider Pacific Cross and telemedicine service KonsultaMD to bring GoHealth, a prepaid health product catered for consumers who have limited resources to avail of costly plans in the market.

With a small subscription fee of P20, you can enjoy P1,000 health insurance coverage provided by Pacific Cross. This can cover up to P1000 worth of emergency treatment due to accident, in-patient COVID-19 and diagnosed dengue or leptospirosis. Customers can purchase several subscriptions to increase coverage and shareability to your loved ones.

The KonsultaMD teleconsultation is a great feature of the GoHealth packages. This can be used for online consultations with skilled and licensed Filipino doctors who can provide safe medical assessment and advice on basic healthcare and proper medication.

Now, you can get a check-up without going through the hassle of traveling to crowded hospitals and clinics.

Health security is made affordable and easily accessible with Globe’s GoHealth packages! For more information, visit glbe.co/Go-Health.

"Who are you when no one’s watching?" paves the way for Celebrity podcasts: Join Provocations and Intimate Conversations from BOY ABUNDA’S new Podcast

In partnership with Podcast Network Asia, Tito Boy is celebrating a new year with the launch of his new podcast show, “Who are you when no one’s watching?”  This landmark podcast is both familiar and new, making it absolutely habit-forming.

Boy Abunda together with Podcast Network Asia launched “Who are you when no one’s watching?” today.

Well-known and widely beloved for being the King of Talk, Boy Abunda, or “Tito Boy” as he is more popularly known has been at the helm of his titular talk shows over the years, such as "The Bottomline with Boy Abunda" and "Tonight with Boy Abunda."

With the foray into digital, audio on-demand format, he now steps away from the stage lights, the grand production, and the multi-camera setup to do what he does best: talk.

“Doing interviews takes courage – the courage to ask and answer questions, to open a part of yourself, to let down your guard, and to be real. In those few minutes, and sometimes long hours, my guests whether unconsciously or not reveal themselves,” says Tito Boy.

“In this podcast, I want to continue doing that. But this time, there are no extra bright lights, no 5-camera setup, no myriad of staff and crew members on the set. In fact, no one is watching.”

The choice to do a more intimate approach for the show makes the best use of the medium. “Who are you when no one’s watching?” feels like a private conversation that you stumbled upon and felt lucky enough to have been invited to listen in to.

“Because you’ll all be listening to a more intimate, relaxed, and insightful conversation with a whole range of guests. It has been said that we reveal our true selves when no one is watching – when there are no prying eyes, no faces of judgement, no crowds to please, that’s the kind of vibe I want to create in this podcast.”

His guests are atypical of what you’d expect from a “talk show” and their stories unfold under the mesmerizing cadence of Tito Boy’s voice.

“This is a proud moment for us in Podcast Network Asia. We are thankful for the trust that Tito Boy and his team has put in us, and we are excited to see the impact it will have on the industry.”

With about 31M Filipinos already listening to podcasts and over a hundred locally-produced shows, the interest in podcasting is expected to grow even more. For instance, globally, there is an estimated 1M podcasts and podcast ads have grown exponentially along with it.

“Who are you when no one’s watching?” is a milestone for the local podcast industry, a nod to the legitimacy of the medium which is expected to pave the way for more celebrity-led shows.
