The conversation on mental health and well-being at work has shifted. They are no longer nice-to-haves; they have become more essential due to the rising number of employees experiencing mental health challenges in the workplace.

Jobstreet by SEEK continues to see the trend in which wellness and work-life balance are seen as top deal-breakers and most sought-after benefits among Filipino workers, according to their last Future of Recruitment report.

Championing the call for more open conversations on workplace wellness, Jobstreet by SEEK has launched its latest digital mental health campaign, entitled “We See You.” This features honest, raw, and inspiring stories of Filipino workers, sparking courage and hope, and showing that behind every job title is a person navigating their own challenges.

Among them are candidates Grace Schuke and Manjelique Garcia, who aim to shed light on mental health in the workplace.

Shuke, a former school principal, was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and found the courage to seek help and end her silent struggles. She is now a survivor and advocates for the importance of listening, reminding us that everyone in the workplace has their own story and silent battles.

Meanwhile, Garcia, a cancer survivor and mental health advocate, was diagnosed with lymphoma and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She tells her story of believing in her life’s purpose and desire to keep moving forward despite feeling like everything was crashing down.

Building on the first two episodes of the “We See You” campaign, Jobstreet by SEEK will release more stories of resilience and hope, redefining the role of employment platforms in today’s workforce. In a push to create a more positive and supportive environment, the platform also encourages companies to go beyond traditional benefits and implement health support and additional work-life balance initiatives such as mental health counseling or talks, employee assistance programs, mental health days off, and subscriptions to mental health apps.

Communities Affected Globe Supports by Typhoons Crising, Dante and Emong

Globe has stepped up its humanitarian response following Typhoons Crising, Dante, and Emong, as well as persistent rains brought by the southwest monsoon. Families across Luzon and Visayas received food and essential supplies through Globe’s ongoing partnership with Rise Against Hunger (RAH) Philippines.

Globe has distributed more than 3,000 food packs to support 1,050 families. These were delivered to communities in Pasay, Pasig, Quezon City, Taytay, La Union, Bulacan, Tarlac, Nueva Vizcaya, Dasmariñas, and Biñan. The aid focused on ready-to-eat meals for displaced residents and those still recovering from widespread flooding.

“We know how quickly crises can upend lives,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer. “That’s why we work with partners to deliver immediate support where it matters most.
