DITO Telecommunity Wins Big at Asian Telecom Awards 2026, Honored for AI and Cybersecurity Excellence


DITO Telecommunity continues to strengthen its position as a leading telecommunications provider, taking home two major honors at the prestigious Asian Telecom Awards 2026: AI Initiative of the Year – Philippines for its innovative KAi platform, and Cybersecurity Initiative of the Year – Philippines for its flagship digital safety program, Secured Tayo DITO.

These recognitions highlight two distinct initiatives that have delivered measurable results in customer service operations and subscriber protection that reflects DITO’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology and responsible innovation to deliver sophisticated , safer, and more meaningful digital experiences for Filipinos.

Driving Intelligent Connectivity with KAi

At the heart of DITO’s AI win is KAi, its in-house developed virtual assistant designed to make customer support faster and more convenient. Available across the DITO App, eShop, and Facebook Messenger, KAi helps customers with everyday concerns like balance inquiries and account requests without the need to wait for a live agent.

Since its launch in July 2025, KAi has been able to independently resolve the vast majority of customer inquiries, handling up to 97–98% of requests across platforms. This allows subscribers to complete transactions and get the help they need instantly, improving both speed and overall service experience.

Empowering Filipinos Through Cybersecurity

Meanwhile, Secured Tayo DITO was recognized for its sustained, nationwide effort to make digital safety more accessible and actionable for Filipinos. Launched in 2022, the program delivers regular, easy-to-understand guidance on fraud prevention, phishing, and responsible online behavior through in-app alerts, official channels, and social media.

Over time, the initiative has driven measurable impact to help improve awareness while reducing scam-related incidents among subscribers. Positive and neutral sentiment around the campaign also steadily increased, while phishing and scam reports declined, reflecting stronger vigilance and more informed digital habits across the DITO community.
