The country's biggest family expo "BABY & FAMILY EXPO PHILIPPINES 2014,"  where families love to shop, learn and play is on its 2nd year!

The BABY & FAMILY EXPO PHILIPPINES 2014 is a one-stop shop for all baby, children, pregnancy and family needs, happening this coming August 01-03, 2014 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City.

The three-day event will cover the stages of family growth from maternity, newborns, infants, toddlers and children. Parents can learn the latest trends and relative tips from country’s experts about pregnancy do’s and don’ts, newborn and infant care, child development tips, parenting 101 and more.

Baby and Family Expo part one last 2013 became the main event of the year for all maternity, baby, early childhood and parenting needs, with over 200 exhibitors as well as experts and celebrity parents like Regine Tolentino, Gladys Reyes-Sommereux, RJ Ledesma, Edric Mendoza, providing free seminars to expo visitors and fun-filled activities for the whole family.

For this year, a gallery showcasing fascinating toys and creations will spark the awe in children and rekindle the inner child of every visitor in the Baby & Family Expo’s Toy Museum inside the hall. Children can also enjoy fun and exciting rides and games with the World of Wonder. Fun-filled activities specially organized to widen children’s horizon will also be set up at The Imagination Kitchen, an arts and crafts station.

Highlighting the exciting roster of events is the first ever Baby Idol and Kid Idol talent contest, where babies and kids can shine bright like a star showcasing their singing, dancing, and acting skills.

This parent and child tandem fashion show will feature the weekly finalists of the #BibongBaby contest, an online photo and video contest of the Baby & Family Expo 2013. Queen of all media Kris Aquino’s son Bimby and Eat Bulaga Little Miss Philippines 2012 Ryzza won the award for their inspiration to Filipino kids and exceptional talent voted by the online community from the website www.babyexpo.ph. 

The Golden Kid Award is one of the recognitions in the first ever Golden Family Awards, aimed to recognize celebrity families, parents and kids who have been a great inspiration and role model to Filipino families.

Earlier this year, the eight-year-old child actress was also recognized for her acting and hosting skills as 3rd Yahoo! OMG Awards Child Star of the Year and 3rdEdukCircle Awards Best Talk Show Host. She was also nominated as Best Comedy Actress and Best Celebrity Talk Show Host in the 27th PMPC Star Awards for Television.

Following the footsteps of his mom, Bimby is now very active in showbiz - print and television commercials plus his first upcoming movie My Little Bossings have proven that the child star has what it takes to be in the acting world. “Thank you for the award and the recognition” says Bimby to the Baby and Family Expo Philippines, while Kris Aquino expressed that they would love to be at the awarding on December 7, but can't be there personally, because of their scheduled trip to Cebu.

The winners will receive a McCelebrations package from McDonald’s.

Chief Happiness Officer Ronald McDonald, together with friends Grimace, Hamburglar and Birdie will be in attendance to play with the kids during the first day of the Baby & Family Expo 2013. Celebrity Families to be Awarded at the Baby & Family Expo 2013

The biggest family event of the year is on December 06-08, 2013 at SMX Convention Center Manila, Mall of Asia Complex!

Baby & Family Expo Philippines 2013 will be recognizing celebrity families, parents and kids who have been a great inspiration and role model to Filipino families in the first ever Golden Family Awards. The awarding ceremony is scheduled on Saturday, December 7, 2013, 6pm.

The Golden Family of the Year will be awarded to celebrity parents Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo and to daughter Johanna “Yohan Lois" and son Juan Luis "Lucho." Their on-screen love team developed to an off-camera relationship. Four years after, wedding bells were finally heard. Despite rumors, their relationship stayed strong. Aside from their successful showbiz career, Judy Ann and Ryan still managed to be hands-on parents. When it comes to enforcing discipline to their kids, they prefer to handle it on a case-to-case basis instead of imposing cardinal rules. Both parents are open to possibilities of their kids entering showbiz as Yohan and Lucho are showing signs already.

Celebrity couple Regine Tolentino and Lander Vera-Perez will be awarded as the Golden Couple of the Year as their relationship is one of the perfect examples of a relationship that withstood trials and emerged stronger after the storm. Actress and dancing diva felt love at first sight for his on-screen partner Lander Vera-Perez, who was a heartthrob then. But the on-screen love team became a real life relationship. They are blessed with two daughters Azucena Reigne and Alessandra Reigen.

Baby & Family Expo Philippines 2013 Launched

The BABY & FAMILY EXPO PHILIPPINES 2013 – “Welcoming Life, Love and Care”, the country’s biggest family expo for all maternity, baby, early childhood and parenting needs was officially launched last October 24, 2013 at Fun Ranch, located at Frontera Verde, Pasig City.

The media launch was hosted by Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2000 winner and celebrity mom, Nina Ricci Alagao-Flores and was attended by personalities like ANC’s “On the Money” host and The Master’s Academy President, Edric Mendoza, Medela Moms’ co-founder, Maricel Cua, and the wife of Azkals Coach, Yoshiko Weiss.

THE SEARCH IS ON! Baby & Family Awards 2013 - ParentPreneur of the Year!

ParentPreneurs are the modern day moms and dads who have successfully balanced parenthood and their role as an entrepreneur through hard work and dedication.

On December 6 - 8 , the very first Baby & Family Expo Philippines 2013 at the SMX Manila, Mall of Asia Complex Pasay City we will be honoring ParentPreneurs, not just mompreneurs but also dadpreneurs. 

NOMINATION MECHANICS:

To qualify as a ParentPreneur nominee:

•   Owns and operates a registered and active business, may be a founder or co-founder along with his/her partner(s) and has been involved in the business conceptualization and building for at least one year from January 2012.
•    Can be home, office, web or mall-based, as long as it is a mom/dad-founded enterprise.
•    Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business / company.
•    Has successfully managed parenthood and being a hands-on entrepreneur.

Nomination Guidelines:

1.   Go to the Baby & Family Expo Philippines 2013 website and proceed to the Baby & Family Awards page, then to ParentPreneur Awards.

2.    Fill up the form – Name of the nominee, Company / Business Name, Category, Why does
he/she deserve to be called a mompreneur / dadpreneur in this category (1 paragraph, min: 3
sentences; max: 5 sentences), Links and references of the ParentPreneur and business.

3.    Submit and you’re done!

How to nominate:

•    A ParentPreneur may be classified in only one of the following categories:

1. The Breakthrough ParentPreneur – someone who has successfully started a business and has created the biggest impact and buzz in a span of one year. The business must not be more than 2 years old and not less than 1 year old since establishment.

2. The Innovator – someone who has remarkably created the most innovative and creative product or business idea in its field.

3. The Advocate – someone whose business has made and is making a difference in the country and has been strongly influencing and moving people with their advocacy.

4. The Digital Maven – someone who has notably established innovative and successful social media and digital strategies and campaigns for their own business.

5. ParentPreneur of the Year – honors the most outstanding ParentPreneur couple for 2013, this couple has been a role model to all aspiring couple entrepreneurs who has successfully balanced parenthood and entrepreneurship together.

•     Nomination period will be from October 7 to 18.

•    Incomplete nomination forms will not be accepted, the organizers also has the right to verify and conduct further research to confirm the validity of the information provided if
necessary. All information will be kept confidential.

Screening Guidelines:

•    The business should not be less than 1 year old since establishment.

•    All nomination forms are subject to evaluation and will be shortlisted by the organizers.

•    The ratio of mompreneur and dadpreneur nominees will be based on the nominations
received.

•    Qualified nominees will be informed for confirmation before the voting period and will be asked to submit a valid DTI and or SEC articles of incorporation.

•    Failure to comply with the guidelines and / or submit the needed requirements may result in disqualification.

•     The official list of ParentPreneur nominees will be announced and launched on October 21, indicating the start of the voting period at the Baby & Family Expo Philippines 2013 website.

VOTING

How to vote:

1.    Go to the Baby & Family Expo Philippines 2013 website and proceed to the Baby & Family Awards tab and click the ParentPreneur Awards where the nominees’ profile can be seen.

2.    Vote by clicking any of the social media buttons found on top of the nominee’s profile and you’re done! Multiple voting is allowed.

3.    Voting period will be from October 21 to November 22 at the Baby & Family Expo Philippines 2013 Website.

4.    Only one dadpreneur or mompreneur will win per category based on the criteria which includes 20% of online votes. For the ParentPreneur of the Year, only one couple will be awarded.

Criteria:

Business idea innovation and creativity          - 40%
Management and Leadership Skills               - 30%
Impact on community                                    - 10%
Online Votes                                                  - 20%
Total                                                          - 100%e entrepreneurs who has successfully balanced parenthood and entrepreneurship together.

AWARDING:

•     A total of five winners will be announced and contacted on November, a month before the expo.

•    The ParentPreneur Awards will happen at the Baby & Family Awards, to be held on the last day of the Baby & Family Expo Philippines 2013 – Sunday, December 08.
