CHERRY Cares distributes High Speed Ice Cooling Fan for Deaf Awareness Month

The goal of Deaf Awareness Month last September is for people to acknowledge the said topic, emphasize its positive characteristics, and encourage inclusion. The Sergia Esguerra Memorial Foundation celebrated its 26th founding anniversary with the students of the Philippine Institute of the Deaf and CHERRY Cares got to be a part of the occasion.

The Corporate Social Responsibility arm of the CHERRY Philippines has distributed the CHERRY High Speed Ice Cooling Fan with its easy-to-use scrolling gear setting and 11,000Rpm rotation to the students as a gift. The CHERRY High Speed Ice Cooling Fan has an ergonomic display and LED. Moreover, the children got to choose between its available colors: white, violet, and gray. It’s smart, secure, and convenient for learners.

Being deaf does not immediately mean being disabled. It does, however, define a different way of communicating. Awareness is important for these matters; therefore, we should learn about it as much as we can.

"The renewed partnership between our foundation and Pelli-San Corporation really created a strong relationship as co-partners in bringing forward an accessible education to Filipino children and students. It is a privilege that we can add support to the academic sector, so we ensure that we widen the target beneficiaries as time goes by," shares Ms. Venus Tan-Ngu, President of MSNFI.

Moreover, this project has been steadfast in bringing the initiative to promote the quality of education as well as providing educational equipment and other related learning materials to public schools and non-profit educational institutions in far-flung areas or those with limited resources. Pawsitively Impactful: CHERRY Cares supports Animal Shelters through its Project Pa-Help Paw

CHERRY Cares, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of CHERRY Philippines, has embraced a commitment to support local animal shelters through its project Pa-Help Paw.

The special project Pa-Help Paw started in December of 2021. It strives to promote animal welfare by giving food, medications, CHERRY Pet products, and other necessities to predetermined animal rescue agencies and recipients.

At the core of CHERRY Cares’ initiatives lies a genuine concern for our four-legged friends. By reaching out to San Mateo Municipal Pound and House of Strays, the company has taken significant steps to address the growing challenges faced by these shelters. Dog food, cat food and pet shampoo were allocated to aid the overall maintenance of the facilities.

“When we say inclusivity, this includes our fur families through our Pa-Help PAW Project. This is one of our ways to give back and create a happy and healthy relationship with our pets. Let us treat them as part of our family and give them equal rights rather than just co-existing,” says Ms. Agnes Conopio, PR-CSR Head, CHERRY.

This initiative has unlocked our fur-mily’s strong bonds with their humans and encouraged positive behaviors free from abuse, neglect, and abandonment.

With a simple yet worthwhile get-together, the organization aims to create a space of happiness. Jollibee meals and Cosmic Plush Toys were given to the young hearts who have faced neglect, abandonment, and abuse. Essential food items and hygiene kits are provided, emphasizing the importance of their well-being.

Meanwhile, CHERRY Cares demonstrates that the holiday season is not only about festive decorations and celebrations but also an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of those less fortunate. “We are happy to light up lives and make this season brighter through our Project Twinkle. We’ve been doing this for quite some time. This is our CEO, Mr. Maynard Ngu’s way of returning the gratitude by simply giving back,” shares Agnes Conopio, PR and CSR Senior Manager of CHERRY.

As we conclude Project Twinkle 2023, one thing becomes abundantly clear: the spirit of generosity transcends the exchange connection that binds us all. Whether through a helping hand, a warm meal, or a simple act of kindness. For in giving, we receive the priceless gift of a more connected, resilient, and compassionate world."
