Mike (Mark Wahlberg) is happy living a simple life as a construction worker in his native New Jersey – until his long-lost high school sweetheart, Roxanne (Halle Berry), shows up with more on her mind than romance. Knowing he’s the right man for the job, she recruits Mike on a dangerous intelligence mission in Europe that thrusts them back together into a world of spies and high-speed car chases, with sparks flying along the way.

Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry continues to break down barriers with a multitude of critically acclaimed diverse roles and continued success at the box office.

Berry returns for a brand new season of Extant as reprising her role as astronaut Molly Woods, the multifaceted Halle Berry also executive produced this season of the show. EXTANT Season 2 premieres first, exclusive and express on RTL CBS Entertainment HD on July 14, Tuesday at 9:55pm.

EXTANT is a futuristic thriller about female astronaut Molly Woods played by Halle Berry who discovers she has unwittingly put the human race on a path to destruction. In season 2, the threat that Molly thought was contained in space is now earthbound and spreading to become a major problem here on Earth.Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Grey’s Anatomy and Supernatural) adds an element of edginess in this season as cop JD Richter, who teams up with Molly to protect humanity. 

Season 2 of EXTANT promises more action with new showrunners Elizabeth Kruger and Craig Shapiro (Necessary Roughness) taking on the helm with series creator Mickey Fisher. 

EXTANT is executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Halle Berry.

Berry, for her brilliant performance in “Monster’s Ball,” she won the Academy Award for Best Actress, as well as the SAG Award, the Berlin Silver Bear Award and was named Best Actress by the National Board of Review. No stranger to accolades, Berry earned the Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG and NAACP Image Award for her extraordinary performance in “Introducing Dorothy Dandridge,” which she also produced, and was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress for her role in “Frankie and Alice.” 

Berry has garnered praise not only for her numerous leading roles, but for her work with a range of influential organizations. Berry is an active supporter and chair member of the Jenesse Center in Los Angeless. The Jenesse Center was founded in 1980 and assists victims of domestic violence and aims to change the pattern of abuse in the lives of women and children. 

Throughout her successful career, Berry has supported a vast amount of charities and organizations, such as Revlon Run/Walk, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Afghanistan Relief Organization, Stand Up 2 Cancer, Lance Armstrong Foundation, Love Our Children USA and Clothes Off Our Back.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s charm and versatility have landed him a variety of prestigious roles alongside a number of award-winning actors and filmmakers. Morgan is known to television audiences for his recurring roles on the series “Supernatural” and “Grey’s Anatomy.” 

Most recently, he starred as hotel owner Ike Evans in the critically acclaimed series “Magic City.” Also, he had a recurring role in the award-winning comedy series “Weeds.” 

Morgan captivated science fiction fans when he starred in the adaptation of the graphic novel “Watchmen” for director Zack Snyder, and “The Losers,” an adaptation of DC-Vertigo’s acclaimed comic book series, produced by Joel Silver and directed by Sylvain White. Additional feature film credits include “Peace, Love & Misunderstanding,” with Catherine Keener, Jane Fonda and Elizabeth Olsen for director Bruce Beresford; the thriller “The Possession,” with Kyra Sedgwick for producer Sam Raimi; the reboot of the 1984 action movie “Red Dawn”; the murder mystery “The Texas Killing Fields,” with Sam Worthington, Chloe Moretz and Jessica Chastain; Ang Lee’s film “Taking Woodstock”; and “P.S. I Love You,” with Hilary Swank.
