Korean Channels Promote “Koreanovelas” to the Filipinos

Korea Communications Commission has recently hosted the Korea Content 2011 at the Marriott Hotel, Resorts World Manila, which was attended by fellow bloggers as well (December 15, 2011). This exclusive event showcased the most prominent and major broadcasting in Korea, like KBS, KBS Media, MBC, CJE & M, Arirang TV (I remember back in 2006, watching English movies from the Arirang TV through Sky Cable)and YTN, in order to market and share their channel's local programs, of which they are confident will become another big hit not only here in the Philippines but from all throughout Asia as well.

These major broadcasting companies came together in this event to introduce to the Filipino audience their unique steady of soap stream and the introduction of the Korean 3D contents technology (which I got to try for myself and it was awesome!). This will be made possible by CJ Power Cast Inc., a digital broadcasting services company that introduced Harmony, HaeUnDae, Secret and Speed Scandal –popular 3D movies in Korea.

I think there’s not a Filipino who loved a Korean soap, and fell in love with its characters. And I am sure, just as my bestfriend is a fan, some of us have identified with each emotions these actors and actresses expressed.

“We are proud to showcase our country’s culture, traditions, and interesting history. Generally, Korean dramas dwell on positive universal theme of love, quiet sacrifice, romance, with a touch of comedy which makes the story feel good and interesting to watch. Not to mention, most people will agree that Korean actors are very good looking”, shares by an Arirang channel representative.

My New Year's Resolutions . . . for Life!

Today, January 1, 2012  is the first day of our new life. I’m thinking new years resolutions, plans, goals and as I call these my commitments. I'm really determined to do my new years solutions and all. I've written down my guidelines and I hope that it will help me to make realistic goals.

As I’m doing my notes, most things are running inside my brain. It is just not new years resolution but simple and right things to do. Things to do forever, for life!  I'm just sharing these thoughts in my mind now.

- Think positively. If you don't believe in yourself then no one else will. I have read and heard many times a quote and advice.  "If you believe it, you can achieve it." Positive thinking creates success. Life will get better and better as you welcome the positive. Believe in yourself and don't look back.

- Open to all possibilities. Great things will happen in our life because we are open to all possibilities. By opening ourselves up, we will be able to learn from so many people with different backgrounds. We will learn and experience amazing things.

- Trust , don't worry.  Trust is importantDon’t worry about anything but trust. Stop worrying but trust you are doing exactly what you are meant to be doing. When we trust, we allow and when we allow our experiences instead of trying to manipulate them or force them into our limited vision of what should be, our lives expand and every day becomes a miracle right now. And beautiful, positive and perfect change just happens without our needing to worry about a thing. We have expectations but we should not to have many.  Learn to go with the flow. Have trust and be appreciative with the present happenings in life. Know that whatever we experience will be a great learning experience. It will give us enriching moments.

-Be Responsible. You have to start being responsible. Everyday of our lives we think of some situation we wish we had handled differently. We can make certain the actions we do every day is not filled with similar regrets. That's all we need to remember when we decide how to behave in the present. We won't be ashamed in the future, if we take charge of our present. It really is not hard you just have to be consistent in everything you do. Be dependable and responsible. To me the most important thing is always being your self.

- Be Happy. Simply do the things that make us happy, simply love the activities. Let’s be happy because we are doing what we love to do. Be happy with what we have, not just what we want. I understand. It really seems to be part of human nature to want. Just to want more and want better and want something new.

I have a very favorite quote :"The Happiest people don't have everything they want...but they make the most out of what they already have!"

Be happy by accepting the changing world. We are all part of this one being called “life as we know it” and it is always changing. Nothing really appears or disappears but it is always changing around. Every situation is temporary.

Share happiness with everyone you live with, family, relatives, friends, people we see around. Having compassion and making others happy will make you more happy.

Year 2012 is going to be "our" happy year in our wonderful world!

2012 – Year of the Yang Water Dragon

What kind of year will 2012 be?   Many expect 2012 to bring about the end of the world, perhaps because they mistakenly think of Mayan or Hindu cosmologies as linear rather than cyclical. From a Feng Shui standpoint 2012, the year of the Yang Water Dragon, brings many possibilities for good fortune.

Most people know that water covers 2/3 of our planet & comprises 95% of our bodies; we simply cannot live without it. In Chinese element theory, water produces wood, which signifies growth and is the natural element of the dragon. The dragon governs east/southeast, wealth accumulation & the hours of 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. Associated with thunder, lightning and arousal, the Water Dragon personifies creativity at its best.

Water Dragons occur every 60 years, so we have had Yang Water Dragons in 1952, 1892, 1832, 1772, 1712, 1652, 1592, etc. Too, the future holds more Water Dragons in the years beyond 2012, in 2072, 2132, 2192, 2252, etc.

In 2012 the Yang Water Dragon Year starts January 23, 2012 and ends February 9, 2013. The energetic high point of the year is the dragon moon, which is from May 20 to June 18 (new moon is May 20, full moon is June 4 and dragon moon is over June 18. June 19 begins the snake moon, which will set up the energy for the following year, 2013, year of the yin water snake.)

Embrace the upcoming 2012 Year of the Water Dragon! Also makes great gifts for people who are Water Dragons (born either between 1/27/1952 – 2/23/1953 OR between 1/23/2012 – 2/9/2013.)  There’s even something for the Water Dragon babies of 2012/2013.
