EXCEPTION Music Festival on November 24, 2012 at the Bonifacio Global City, an event that brings together different electronic music stars, both foreign and local, in one massive event. Taking a cue from the biggest dance festivals worldwide like Creamfields and Global Gathering in the UK and Ultra and Electric Daisy Carnival in the US, EXCEPTION will gather hordes of party-goers in one gigantic outdoor location, its ground set to shake with a whole day’s succession of trance, house, progressive, electro, chillout, and a madcap mixture of all of the above.

On its first year, EXCEPTION will boast three different stages: 

     House  Stage  - On the house stage are the house music maestros to electrify the audience.

     Live  Stage    - Live stage are live act bound to set the second stage on fire.

    Main Stage   - The third stage will be a stadium-sized spectacle starring the event’s headliners.

AstroPlus Bloggers Connect 2012: Connecting Brands to Blogs

I am enjoying my wonderful world of music and movies! Lately I am glad to be invited to an interesting event held at Astroplus Store, The Podium, Ortigas Ave. - “AstroPlus Bloggers Connect 2012: Connecting Brands to Blogs” last October 27.

 “AstroPlus Bloggers Connect 2012: Connecting Brands to Blogs”  was a  two part event. The first part was for the Music and Movies Block starting 1:30 pm and after,  the 2nd part was for the Gadgets Block.

There were so much interesting presentation of Sony Music and Ivory Music. And there was a presentation films from Warner, and Magnavision presented us some films be to launch in coming months and for 2013. C-Interactive presented a lot of DVD offerings and promotions. 

Thanks to Azrael Coladila and Myke Soon who are in partner with Astroplus in co-organizing this 2nd annual event of Astroplus, an event that connects their brands to us bloggers.

Filipino moviegoers nationwide will finally experience the unique onscreen magic of the love team of Thai superstar Mario Maurer and Philippine sweetheart Erich Gonzales via Star Cinema’s first Filipino-Thai romantic-comedy film, “Suddenly It’s Magic.” Will the fairy tale of the characters have a happy ending?

With its romantic plot, beautiful scenes shot in the Philippines and Thailand, and astonishing international appeal, “Suddenly It’s Magic” keeps on rousing strong positive reactions from the public, making it a daily hot topic on several social networking sites, especially on the popular microblogging site Twitter.

Even Mario is vocal about his excitement to be back in the Philippines to personally promote his first film project in the country.

“Suddenly It’s Magic” tells the story of a Thai superstar Marcus Hanson (Maurer), who finds the magic of love in the Philippines, where he meets the heartbroken pastry baker Joey Hermosa (Gonzales).

Pogi Points: The Not-So-Gentleman’s Guide to Looking Good

I'm one of  the book lovers who's enjoying the wonderful world of an artist, graphics master and an observational comedian name Stanley Chi.  He's the co-host of TV5’s Front Act, creator of Manila Bulletin-based comic strip “Chopsticks," and the author of the Suplado Tips 1 & 2.

Just when you think you’ve read it all, a book like Pogi Points comes your way to burst your bubble. Soldiers of love, beware.

Stanley Chi , the genius behind the bestselling Suplado Tips series (read: over PhP2M worth of books sold in just one year) goes out of his comfort zone to write a “not-so-gentleman’s guide to looking good”, as the cover of his newest book, Pogi Points, announces brazenly.

Chi is out to prove he’s not a one-hit wonder after his first humor book, Suplado Tips, underwent reprinting five times in a year. The follow-up Suplado Tips 2 fared just as well, if not better, establishing Chi’s reputation as a legit writer who can sell books to people who don’t normally love reading.

Pogi Points is a collection of tips on how to get ahead in love through strategic behavior. It teaches the naïve boy how to act around his object of admiration (or obsession, whichever applies).

Using humor to make his point, Chi teaches precious bits of courtship wisdom to guys who want to win over the girl of their dreams.

Readers aren’t the only ones who noticed Chi’s flair for writing. The Manila International Book Fair  the biggest book fair in the Philippines already in its 33^rd year last September, made sure Chi was on board as one of their first-ever endorsers, dubbed “MIBF Bookworms”. During the book fair, Chi joined social activist Carlos Celdran  and fellow comedian-authors  Ramon Bautista  and Tado Jimenez  in an online video campaign to promote literacy.

“Kung dinaan mo sa personality ang isang babae, para mo naring sinabi na pangit ka (If you use your personality to win over a girl, it’s like saying you’re too ugly [to do it any other way])!”  - One Pogi Points pointer says.

Aside from tips on how to score more pogi points, the book contains photo comic strips, serious relationship facts, fun pogi trivia, and self-help lists. It’s a workbook of sorts for the love-struck guy who wants to have fun while decoding the woman he fancies.

Readers get a good dose of laughter from Pogi Points – and who knows? Maybe the single guys might even get a girlfriend.
