Avida Land launches gift-giving Facebook app for OFWs

"Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote at Si Ako" for 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival on December 25

Si Agimat, Si Enteng at Si Ako is the fantasy-adventure family comedy, action film starring  box-office giants of the local movie making industry Vic Sotto, Bong Revilla, Jr. and Judy Ann Santos.

The film is a crossover of Agimat and Enteng Kabisote film franchise. It is a joint production by five movie outfits, Octoarts Films, M-zet Productions, Imus Productions, APT Entertainment and GMA Films. This film is directed by Tony Y. Reyes (DGPI), story idea by Antonio Y. Reyes and Antonio P. Tuviera, and screenplay by Bibeth Orteza and Jermyn Aven Jacob.

It is one of the 8 official entries for 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival. It will be shown in theaters nationwide on December 25, 2012.

Enjoying Wonderful World is so glad and fortunately  meet and greet with Vic Sotto during a blogcon last December 17, 2012 at the Annabel's restaurant in Tomas Morato, Quezon City.  As he is called “Bossing”,  he told us that why he continues to make the Enteng Kabisote (EK) series because he wants to make every one happy at least even just for an hour or two this coming holidays.

The story begins with the establishment of the three different worlds apart, bound to meet for an adventure like no other – the humble family-oriented story of ENTENG KABISOTE (VIC SOTTO), a low-profile technician married to the beautiful Fairy Princess of Encantasia, FAYE (GWEN ZAMORA); the battles of the AGIMAT (RAMON “BONG” REVILLA, JR.), the brave village Warrior Hero of Amuleto; and the high tech-yuppie Kingdom of Diwatara ruled by Princess ANGELINA KALINISAN-ORTEZA (JUDY ANN SANTOS), also known in the human world as “AKO,” where she leads an environmental advocacy organization.

From the initial instalment “Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote” in 2010, the friendship and partnership of Enteng and Agimat continues. From an ‘eligible bachelor’ Hero, Agimat now strives to apply all his learning from Enteng and Faye as he himself tries to start his own family with wife, also an Amuleto warrior, SAMARA (SAM PINTO). Miss Philippines takes first runner-up, Miss USA wins Miss Universe 2012

Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon was named first runner-up of Miss Universe 2012  held Wednesday (Thursday in the Philippines) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Out of the 89 candidates around the world, 20-year-old cellist Miss USA Olivia Culpo took the crown as this year’s Miss Universe during the coronation night.

Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon, the only Asian candidate who made it to the Top 10. The Philippines nearly had another Miss Universe. Miss Philippines Janine Mari Tugonon came close to breaking the country's decades-long drought for a Miss Universe title when she placed second in this year's pageant. It was the closest that the country has come to the crown since Miriam Quiambao's first runner-up finish in 1999. The Philippines has won the crown twice, with Gloria Diaz in 1969 and Margie Moran in 1973.

Janine answered fashion photographer judge Nigel Barker's question during the Q & A portion.

"As a global ambassador, do you think speaking English should be a prerequisite to being Miss Universe?"

“For me, being Miss Universe is not just about knowing how to speak a specific language. It’s being able to influence and inspire other people. So whatever language you have, as long as your heart is to serve and you have a strong mind to show to people, then you can be Miss Universe.”

Janine was born and raised in Balanga, Bataan. She is a BS Pharmacy Cum Laude from UST (with cum laude honors). She has trained in Ballet Manila. She was last year’s Bb. Pilipinas first runner up. Before that, she was also Ms. Pharmacy and Ms. UST — both in 2010. She loves the outdoors and enjoys an active lifestyle. She likes to go hiking and climbing mountains, as well as cooking and traveling. She also loves reading crime related books and watching crime suspense thrillers such as CSI, Criminal Minds and Fringe.
