In the great with fun celebration of Mother’s Day, Uratex held a special sparty for mother bloggers at the Ronac Lifestyle Center, Magallanes, Makati. 

The Sparty aims not only to raise awareness on how to achieve better sleep but to also to give participants a well-deserved break from their hectic schedules.

One of the best gifts I could ask for on Mother’s Day is sleep. What I wouldn’t give for a lazy afternoon nap or to sleep in on the weekends. And I reckon that I’m not the only mom who wouldn’t love the gift of sleep for Mother’s Day.

Research shows us that sleep benefits memory, focus, attention, and mood. A nice quiet room have a significant influence on people's sleeping pattern. Being mindful of the distractions, temperature, and the amount of light and a comfortable bed can help ensure a peaceful atmosphere conducive to healthy sleep.

I read also that if we invest on a good bed because we spend most of our life there. we sleep to recharge, rejuvenate, and to grow and repair our bodily organs and tissues. 

Uratex Giving Moms the Gift of Sleep

Being mothers, it means having to balance our commitments to our spouse, family, work, household, and social life. They are an embodiment of the empowered women - women of strength, patience, perseverance, and passion.

At the Uratex Premium Gallery, participants went to a mini-workshop wherein they learned more about the essence of good sleep. They got a chance to try the XSensor Machine, an image – pressuring device that helps sleepers detect which mattress best fits their needs. 

While relaxing on a Uratex Premium Mattress, we watched a short informational video by Dr. Keith Aguilera, ENT/Sleep Specialist from the Philippine Society of Sleep Medicine on tips for a healthy sleep. 

 

Sparty afternoon was spent with fun-filled pampering activities – a well-deserved break for our hard-working moms.

LRT Celebrates Unconditional Love with Mother’s Day Tribute Video

The Light Railway Transit (LRT1) is one with the riding public in celebrating the unconditional love of every mother this Mother’s Day.

In its two-minute video, entitled “Paano mo pasasalamatan si Inay?”, LRT1 sends the public a heartfelt message leading to Mother’s Day. It pays tribute to the struggles and sacrifices of every mother in raising their children. 

In line with this, LRT1 riders will also be given the opportunity to send their respective mothers a special message at its stations on May 8, 2016.

Happy Mother's day to all Moms! To celebrate mother’s day, Lazada (www.lazada.com.ph), the country’s one stop shopping and selling destination, conducted an online survey among members of the Lazada Super Moms and main FB page. 

Survey results are based on direct consumer responses and not reflective of the views of Lazada.com or its employees.

Lazada moms are Vilmanians at heart with 69% of respondents saying she is the best representation of a mother, winning over other showbiz icons Sharon Cuneta, Dawn Zulueta and Jaclyn Jose. 

Ely beats Chris, but Brad lords over them all

When it comes to music and entertainment, the popularity of local band Eraserheads (40%) beats out international bands, Coldplay and U2. But when it comes to Hollywood crushes, Leo (24%) still has a long way to go before reaching Brad’s (53%) stature.

Mom’s everyday essentials

Moms are more active than ever before. With the limitless number of mom apps available, almost three (71%) out of four respondents prefer using an Android over an iOS. Function over femininity rules as moms prefer wearing shorts (45.3%) as their comfy #OOTD, with jeans as a close contender (43.7%). Baby wipes top their survival kit must have (36.0%) to take out

Value Hunters and Pamperers

Moms are always on the lookout for great deals, especially during sales (37.6%). For example in diapers, Huggies was ranked as the most preferred and trusted brand by moms (34.4%). Interesting to note that moms would rather (1) buy during a sale, (2) use discount vouchers or (3) buy product bundles than ask allowance from dad when the household budget gets pretty tight. 

One thing moms aren’t afraid to scrimp on are themselves. 36% of respondents described themselves as part of the Health and Beauty category. When asked what form of dieting they prefer, moms prefer a diet of fruits and veggies (58%) instead of depriving themselves of sweets or rice. For mini-breaks, a surprising 41.2% prefer staycations over out of town getaways.
