PayMaya, Bayad Center team up to enable bills payment

PayMaya Philippines (formerly Smart Money, Inc.), the digital financial services unit of Voyager Innovations, and the country’s leading bills pay fulfillment company Bayad Center have partnered to provide Filipinos a more convenient, faster, and more secure option to pay their utility bills and government fee requirements via PayMaya, the leading digital payments app in the country.
L-R: Pit Quevedo, Senior Vice President & COO, Bayad Center; Lawrence Ferrer, Vice President, PayMaya Philippines; Manny Tuason, President and CEO, Bayad Center; Oscar Reyes, Chairman of Bayad Center; Manny Pangilinan, Chairman of Voyager Innovations; Orlando Vea, President and CEO, Voyager Innovations; Benjie Fernandez, co-COO of PayMaya Philippines and COO, Voyager Innovations; Paolo Azzola, co-COO and Managing Director, PayMaya Philippines.

By simply downloading the PayMaya app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store (or updating the app for existing users), consumers can now conveniently settle their bills on time with a simple tap on the ‘Pay Bills’ feature on the app. The billers that are now available on PayMaya’s Pay Bills include Bayad Center partners and private companies such as MERALCO, PLDT, Laguna Water, and Cignal. Soon, more partners and government agencies will be onboarded including Smart, Sun Cellular, SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, POEA, Maynilad, PRC, and NBI among others.
“At PayMaya, we strive to accelerate financial inclusion in emerging markets and improve lives through payment innovations. Our partnership with the leading payment fulfillment company Bayad Center is a demonstration of this commitment. Through the Pay Bills feature of PayMaya, we are proud to redefine the customer experience of Filipinos and provide a hassle-free option to pay their bills by a simple tap on their smartphone from the comfort of their home, without the need for a bank account or enroll their bills,” said Orlando Vea, President and CEO of PayMaya Philippines and Voyager Innovations, the digital innovations arm of PLDT and Smart.
“Bayad Center has always been committed to bringing the payment collection service closer to every Filipino. Through PayMaya, we make it even more convenient for the paying public to settle their bills since they can easily access the facility through their mobile phones. What is even better is that our OFWs can now pay for their bills back home without having to send money and pay charges. It is payment made available anytime, anywhere,” said Oscar Reyes, Chairman of Bayad Center.

On top of the PayMaya virtual account that can be used to pay for online transactions, customers can also request for their own PayMaya physical prepaid card which can be used in brick-and-mortar stores worldwide that accept Visa. A variant also comes with its own beep™ wallet, allowing users to ride the MRT, LRT, BGC buses, and other point-to-point (P2P) transportations powered by beep™ for their daily commute. Users who link their PayMaya app and card, and upgrade their PayMaya account can facilitate peer-to-peer money transfers and ATM withdrawals.

The PayMaya difference

Apps by leading banks enable users to pay their bills once enrolled in their app. Originally meant to manage and track deposit money, these apps will be useful if you have a bank account. This remains to be a challenge in the Philippines as roughly only 31% of the population have bank accounts.

With PayMaya, access to financial services is made easier with just a smartphone and a mobile number. To be able to pay your bills, all you need to do is download the PayMaya mobile app, register and activate your account with basic information such as name and mobile number—no need for a bank account or enroll your bills.

For existing users, all they need to do is update their app to enable the Pay Bills feature of their PayMaya. Once your account is activated, you can load your PayMaya at any of the 15,000 reloading stations nationwide that include SM Malls Business Centers, Robinsons Department Stores, Bayad Centers, 7-Eleven stores with Cliqq kiosks, TouchPay Kiosks, and Smart Padala Centers, on top of online banking via BDO. PayMaya is bank-agnostic and this means you do not need to go to bank branches just to load your account. For more details, visit www.paymaya.com.

Home Credit Philippines is a consumer financing company that offers easy, simple, and fast loan installment plans to Filipinos. The approval process can take as little as 15 minutes, after which the consumers can take their Samsung J Series phones home.

"Our first 0% promo with Samsung for the J Series smartphones last summer was a huge success, and there is demand from customers even after the promo was over,” remarked Home Credit Philippines’ Head of Sales, Adam Bernasek.
“So it was a very easy decision for us to bring back the promo with Samsung, and help more people get their hands on the amazing J Series phones.”
Customers may avail of the Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 for as low as ₱1,199 per month, or the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 at ₱1,499 on instalment-basis for 6 months, through any of Home Credit’s retail partners.

Signal Max provides for wider signal coverage and enhanced call quality. While its Ultra Data Saving feature enables consumers to save up to 50% on their mobile data consumption.

Imagine how many more additional hours of internet browsing, video and music streaming, and photo uploads you can do with these savings. They also feature HD Super AMOLED displays, for true-to-life colors and clearer and deeper images. They even have improved cameras, with a 13MP back and 5MP front camera, f/1.9 aperture and LED front flash, both units produce high-quality pictures even in low-light conditions. They also come with 3,100 mAh and 3,300 mAh, for J5 and J7 2016 respectively. On top of these, they also feature Ultra Power Saving to help extend battery life, as well LTE Dual SIM, for added convenience.
"We are happy to be providing Filipinos the option to purchase the gadgets, appliances, and electronics they need via affordable loan installments, allowing them to manage their finances better. And we are very fortunate to have partners like Samsung who share the same vision," said Bernasek.

PH largest drugstore chain Mercury Drug opens stores to FINE Japan’s Premium HyC150

Premium HyC150, the secret weapon every woman or man desires to keep looking young, physically fit and feeling good, continues to expand its reach to make it accessible to more Filipinos.

This modern-day “fountain of youth” is now sold at selected Mercury Drug stores in Metro Manila. As an exclusive offer, Premium HyC 150 comes with an additional one free sachet worth P 125 when you buy at selected Mercury Drug stores.

Made by FINE Japan Co. Ltd., one of Japan’s most trusted manufacturing firms, HyC150 is an award-winning food supplement that effectively combines Collagen with the hydrating power of Hyaluron for younger and healthier looking skin.

Collagen is HyC150’s age-defying ingredient that helps keep the skin young looking, supple and smooth by slowing down the aging process and fights the negative effects of too much exposure to sunlight and pollution. Hyaluronic Acid, meanwhile, helps lubricate the bones, joints and eye tissues and maintains healthy gums. It also complements Collagen by nourishing and hydrating the skin, and even the scalp to promote healthy and glossy hair, plus regulates protein for faster wound healing.

HyC150 also contains other active ingredients such as Ubiquinol, Vitamin C, Biotin, Elastin and Pearl Coix. These nutrients are needed by the body to complete HyC150’s youthful effects all over the body. In clinical trials conducted in Japan, North America and Europe, about 93 percent of users of Premium HyC150 reported improved hair, nails and skin with continued use.

Aside from Premium HyC150, other products of FINE Japan Co. Ltd. include the revolutionary FINE Etiquette Rose, an oral perfume supplement that is very effective in removing body odor – whether for men or women. It is more cost effective than buying expensive perfumes in the market and the effects of smelling good from within is longer. Another FINE product is FINE Turmeric Extract that helps keep the liver healthy against cholesterol. Turmeric is also widely known to help control blood sugar levels especially for people suffering from diabetes.

FINE also boasts of its unique whitening food supplement that is 100% organic with FINE Organic Pearl Coix. Purely made from Adlay seeds, also known as Job’s Tears, this product is the only one of its kind in the market today, used by many Japanese men and women for many years to keep skin fair, smooth, and luminous. For teenagers, FINE Pearl Coix helps control acne for blemish-free skin. For young adults, 100% Organic Pearl Coix has more health benefits aside from brightening the skin. This food supplement also aids digestion and is known to help prevent cancer.
