Atelier 317
“Atelier” – as defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary is an artist’s or designer studio or workroom, or simply a workshop. Atelier 317 is a place of creative creation, where people can grow closer together over some amazing comfort food, with a unique worldly spin executed with quality ingredients.
La Galerie is a chameleonic space. Equipped with a full working open kitchen with top of the line Elba appliances, large, bright white walls, and two massive wooden tables – the airy space is meant for creation and collaboration. It is perfect for special dinners with bespoke menus, cooking classes and demos, food photography shoots or just simply having a culinary and entertainment space to call your own.
Open to all who wish to use it, La Galerie can host up to 16 people seated comfortably and 20 for a cocktail set up. You may wish to do your own cooking, bring in your own chef, order from downstairs, have us create your own menu or simply use it as a function room. It will also be home to several pop-up kitchens and collaborations with other chefs in the near future. We will be holding regular cooking classes twice a week starting April, conducted by Stephanie Zubiri for savory cooking and Carmela Villegas for pastry and baking.
More excitingly, La Galerie will also be an Art Gallery. True to its name, they will have art exhibits every other month, focusing on young upcoming artists.
The first exhibit will be in the first half of April featuring the works of Risa Recio, inspired by the dishes at Atelier 317. Her abstract paintings, photographs and installations reflect the vibrant colors of the serving platters and ingredients used in our restaurant.
The first Pop-up Kitchen with Chef Him Uy de Baron of Nomama Ramen from April 29 to May 5. He will be creating a special menu so people in Makati can enjoy his famous ramens and some new Korean inspired dishes.

Stephanie Zubiri |
Stephanie Zubiri loves to eat and hence loves to cook. And above all love to share her passion with friends and family. Before owning a restaurant or a catering business, she originally started by holding cooking classes in her home kitchen in Alabang. She also used to teach in the original Palm Village location of Atelier 317 every Tuesdays and every Mondays for kids at the Chinese International School Manila. She currently animates regular cooking demos for Mc Cormick, Tefal and Breville. In love with world cuisine she always incorporates her travels to her food and her cooking classes always have a historical spin to it. Because what most people don’t know is she’s a history and geography nerd with Bachelor’s degree in History and Geography from the Sorbonne.

Pastry chef Carmela Villegas |
Pastry chef Carmela Villegas lived in paris for 7 years and received her training from a provence based Boulangerie-Patisserie. As a Filipina she always had a sweet tooth and a passion for desserts and upon returning to Manila she created her own bakeshop called Casa San Luis pastries. She successfully created her style inspired from her travels and she defines her pastries as "Comfort Food Desserts with a twist". She wants to share her passion for desserts with everyone and show that baking is fun and accessible to anyone. She will show you that the steps for creating desserts rich in flavor can be simple and easy.
