Kitchie Nadal celebrates the 20^th anniversary of her solo career with a concert happening on June 2, 2024 (Sunday), at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City.

Dubbed SAME GROUND: Kitchie Nadal’s 20^th Anniversary Concert, the homecoming show chronicles the singer-songwriter’s journey as an artist who blazed the trail for women in alternative and pop music with uncompromising individuality.

The solo concert also marks Nadal’s return to the Philippine concert scene, with special guests that include some of her closest music peers in the industry.

Linya-Linya strengthens community-driven initiatives with launch of “Tulong-Tulong” at Linya-Linya Land 2023

Aside from showcasing music, comedy, and arts at the multi-format festival, the witty t-shirt and content creation company aims to provide a platform for their partner organizations to educate the public about their advocacies and cause.

Along with the country’s top musicians, comedians, and artists, Linya-Linya will be bringing its partner organizations to Linya-Linya Land 2023 where they will be given a space to inform and educate the public about their causes, get donations for their beneficiaries, and recruit volunteers for their projects.

Best known for its witty and punny Filipino lines on shirts and content, Linya-Linya has long been doing its part to put smiles on its partner organizations through “Tulong-Tulong,” a program for all of the brand’s outreach efforts. Currently, Linya-Linya partners with several organizations that cover advocacy on education, equality, and animal welfare, including: AHA! Learning Center, Angat Buhay Foundation, Mindanao Pride, Love Yourself PH, and Pawssion Project.

Through selling of select shirts and other merch, Linya-Linya is able to provide funds and awareness to help the said organizations. Linya-Linya’s Creative Director Ali Sangalang explains the importance of extending a helping hand to amplify the messaging of the cause. “Bilang mga Pilipinong humaharap sa iba’t ibang hamon sa panahon ngayon, mahalaga ang tulong. Pero ang totoo, mas malakas at mas epektibo kapag tulong-tulong tayo.”

Tulong-Tulong started at the height of the pandemic, during the time when frontliners and families-at-risk were in need of medical-grade supplies. To extend help, portions of the sales of selected Linya-Linya shirts were donated to Frontline Feeders PH, AHA! Learning Center, and Life Cycles PH. 

With the success of this simple gesture to help the people in need amidst the pandemic, Linya-Linya strengthens the initiative by giving shirts to students, mothers, and teachers from AHA! Learning Center and helped in renovating the Angat Buhay Community Learning Hub in Area 17, UP Campus, Quezon City.

Apart from these, the shirt company will also be bringing Bantayog ng mga Bayani Foundation as a new partner– a non-stock, non-profit organization that aims to educate the Filipino nation and spread awareness in maintaining democracy, ensuring justice, and always in pursuit of truth.

Celebrating Filipino talent and supporting local artists has been a part of Linya-Linya’s advocacies. Linya-Linya Land 2023 will be happening on August 26, 2023 at 123 Block in Mandaluyong City. Presented by Linya-Linya and GNN Entertainment Productions, the annual event takes hilarious puns to an exciting new level with its showcase of multi-format headliners that aim to create an integrated experience for the community and the fans.

This year’s edition marks an impactful comeback with a lineup featuring some of the most notable names in music, comedy, and art. Filipino singer-songwriters and bands Ebe Dancel, Johnoy Danao, Nica Del Rosario, Cheats, Autotelic, and DJ Ayel lead the bill, alongside standup comedians Victor Anastacio, Nonong Ballinan, GB Labrador, James Caraan, and Jeleen Cubillas. The Queen and King of Filipino R&B will be teaming up for their reunion concert entitled Back In Time: Kyla and Jay R The Reunion Concert, happening on September 2, 2023 (Saturday), at the New Frontier Theatre in Cubao, Quezon City.

Celebrating 20 years of generation-spanning partnership that paved the way for local R&B/soul/hip-hop to flourish in the mainstream music scene in the Philippines, Kyla and Jay R are ready to take listeners on a musical journey that shaped pop culture at large from the early 2000s to the present.

“I’m excited to work with Kyla again,” acclaimed producer/singer-songwriter Jay R said. “Aside from the undeniable chemistry that we’ve developed through years of working together, this concert means a lot to me for sentimental reasons. Ebe Dancel to headline first major concert in Cebu City

The highly anticipated show will feature a career-spanning set from the artist, as well as the big screen debut of ‘Sa Wakas’ documentary

Cebu City, Philippines – Filipino singer-songwriter Ebe Dancel will be staging his first major concert in Cebu on August 5, 2023 (Saturday), from 7pm onwards, at the Pacific Grand Ballroom in the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Presented by GNN Entertainment Productions and Artist Ko Multi-purpose Cooperative, in partnership with Balcony Entertainment, Ebe Dancel Live In Cebu will feature his career-spanning work as a solo artist and as the frontman of the iconic pop-rock band Sugarfree.

“Ebe Dancel's first major concert in Cebu is long overdue,” Artist Ko Multi-purpose Cooperative Vice Chairman Jude Gitamondoc shares in a press statement. “Ebe has a lot of solid fans in the Visayas, and we want them to experience Ebe's artistry closer to home. Cebuanos love Ebe because he is authentic. His songs have grit, intellect, and integrity, the stuff we expect and value in our own artists. We can't wait for Cebuanos to experience all that in the flesh come August 5.”

Best known as the proponent and organizer of Vispop, the songwriting campaign that brought Bisaya music into the mainstream, Artist Ko will be teaming up with concert promoter GNN Entertainment Productions to mark an auspicious start for a meaningful partnership in the live music scene and bring more engaging events to Cebu in the near future.

Gitamondoc adds, “Part of that success was our sensitivity to the Cebuano audience—what they like to hear, what they are drawn to. Cebu is not just a city. Aside from Ebe Dancel’s headlining set, the highly anticipated show will also mark the big-screen debut of the Sa Wakas documentary, which was shot and produced early this year to mark the 20th anniversary of the landmark album. Its director, producer, and creator Cyrian Agujo, will be attending and presenting the film for the first time to the Cebu audience.

Guest performances from Manila and Cebu acts will also be revealed in the coming days/weeks, with the latter being specifically handpicked by Ebe Dancel himself.

With critically acclaimed albums, sold-out concerts, and chart-topping songs under his belt, Ebe Dancel has established himself as one of the biggest pop/rock crossovers of the last two decades.

Barbie Almalbis celebrates 25th anniversary with the release of Tower Sessions Live album and a ‘reunion’ concert

Filipino singer-songwriter Barbie Almalbis marks a monumental milestone in music with the official release of her Tower Sessions Live album under Sony Music Entertainment and a reunion concert featuring her iconic bands Hungry Young Poets and Barbie’s Cradle.

Both celebrations honor her 25^th anniversary in the local music scene as a woman who successfully navigated the realm of Pinoy rock with emotionally resonant songwriting and artistic independence.

Presenting a new arrangement of her old and new songs, Barbie Almalbis’ Greatest Hits live album was produced by Eric and Carlo Perlas of Tower of Doom, recorded by Kyle Cayton, and mixed/mastered by Simon Durias. It will also feature career-defining hits such as “Firewoman,” “Torpe,” “Tabing Ilog,” “The Dance,” “Goodnight,” and “Just A Smile,” along with fairly new tracks: “Days Are Long,” “Silaw,” “Tigre,” and “Kumpas,” the album’s carrier single.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to record our songs live, because we’re always rearranging songs as a band, and I think there’s something special that gets captured when the we play live together,” Almalbis shares. “My producers and collaborators did such a great job of making you feel like you’re at the gig. You can feel the power of the kick drum and the bass, and then have guitars blasting in your ear — in a pleasant way, of course.”

Aside from the release of Tower Sessions Live on digital platforms, Barbie Almalbis is set to headline her 25^th Anniversary concert at 123 Block, Mandala Park on March 11 (Saturday), from 2pm onwards. Celebrating the impact of her music as a guide to many people’s journey in life, the show will reunite her with former bandmates in Hungry Young Poets and Barbie’s Cradle.

Aptly titled Firewoman:25 Years of Barbie Almalbis, the mini-music fest will also feature sets by some of the country’s finest acts, including Sandwich, Gab Alipe of Urbandub, Clara Benin, I Belong To The Zoo, Kai del Rio, and Bird.

Reflecting on her career as an artist, Almalbis expressed gratitude to her fans who have been supportive of her endeavors through the years. “I didn’t have so many plans growing up, but always just dreamt of playing music. I’m so grateful that I get to do this and share the experience with others too. I’m always touched by the support of my fans and friends, and really humbled and encouraged by their words and stories about how these songs have also become part of their journey.”
