J&T Express PH strengthens community service commitment through Brigada Eskwela 2024


J&T Express, one of the leading delivery service providers in the Philippines, has once again linked up with the Department of Education (DepEd) and various school administrators from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in support of this year's Brigada Eskwela initiative to assist students, with the theme of "Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan”.

J&T Express provides Financial Assistance Program for Employees with JET CARE, marking its 4th anniversary

One of the biggest express delivery service providers in the Philippines, J&T Express, celebrates its fourth year in the country and kicks off with surprises, especially for its employees nationwide.
Despite being a newcomer in the express delivery industry in the Philippines in 2019, since then, the company bravely faced challenges and achieved several recognitions.

Over the years, J&T Express has already had expansive nationwide coverage—with most e-commerce platforms and MSMEs putting it on top of their lists as their chosen courier.

J&T Express takes part in new PBA 3x3 season, announces powerhouse roster

Datu, Hayes, Rono, Sedurifa, and Teng make up the powerhouse J&T Express Basketball team

Express delivery service giant J&T Express Philippines unveiled its official roster of basketball players to compete in the coming season of PBA 3x3 Lakas ng Tatlo. The official announcement was made in a public and media event, the J&T Express Dunk Fest, held last September 6.

Vice President of J&T Express Philippines Zoe Chi said the newly fostered partnership with the Philippine Basketball Association marks an exciting chapter for the company, “We are thrilled that our company's motivation chant, “Laban J&T!” will now be heard not only within the courts of PBA but also in the homes of Filipino basketball fans and far beyond.”

The J&T Express Basketball team is composed of basketball giants Keith Datu, Marvin Hayes, Robin Rono, Joseph Sedurifa, and Jeric Teng. The coaching team will be headed by 3x3 top athlete Coach Ryan Monteclaro.

Part of the highlights of the event was a jersey signing ceremony by the J&T Express Chief Executive Officer Mr. Dean Ding, J&T Express Vice President Ms. Zoe Chi, PBA 3x3 Chairman Mr. Richard Bachmann, and the J&T Express Basketball team.

Chi also shared that the express delivery company’s new venture with PBA was inspired by its employees’ common love for basketball, “to all our hardworking employees— from Manila region, from Urdaneta, Dagupan, Cabuyao, Laguna, Albay, Samar, and all other regions, from our directors, managers, supervisors, call centers, sorters, riders, drivers, HR, legal, procurement, IT, sales and etc.—this is all for you. Apart from our shared dedication to our work, we understand that our love for basketball is what unites us all.”

Last month, J&T Express held its very own Basketball Cup in which different basketball teams organized by J&T regional teams nationwide competed for head to head for the winning title. The title was clinched by the J&T Express Eastern Visayas basketball team. All-star players from the Basketball Cup got the opportunity to play with the J&T Express Basketball team as among the highlights of the Dunk Fest.

The PBA 3x3 Lakas ng Tatlo will kickoff on September 10, 2022 at the Robinsons Antipolo. Game runs and replays will be shown on CIGNAL TV, TV5, One Sports, and the Smart GigaPlay App.

J&T Express and realme join relief efforts for typhoon Agaton victims

Weeks following the onslaught of tropical storm Agaton over Eastern Visayas, communities continue to bear brunt of the impact with many still left displaced and in need of aid. Responding to calls for assistance, the country’s leading express delivery company, J&T Express and top global technology brand realme organized a joint relief operation for the residents in Brgy. Buenavista, Abuyog, Leyte which was among the worst-hit towns at the hands of the typhoon.

J&T Express and realme provided hygiene kits and realme Powerbank 2 with 10,000 mAh battery capacity to over 220 affected families who barely receive assistance due to their remote location.

“In time of adversities, especially on what happened to the residents of Abuyog, Leyte, it breaks our hearts to see how the people suffered in this kind of situation. Without hesitation, J&T Express took the opportunity to give its helping hand as we believe in the spirit of “bayanihan”. We are also thankful for our partner, realme, for working with us on this initiative for the people in Leyte,” said Zoe Chi, Vice President of J&T Express.

The relief operation was supported by the local government with Mayor Lemuel Gin Traya of Abuyog, Leyte in attendance during the distribution activity. The relief operation was also assisted by MSWDO Bernard-a Belacho and Brgy. Buenavista Chairman Pio Alvero together with Abuyog Philippine National Police.

J&T Express Philippines honors Edison Awa as J&T Hero of the Year


Not all heroes wear capes. Sometimes, they wear helmets and ride motorcycles.

From hundreds of nominations for outstanding delivery riders nationwide, e-commerce logistics leader J&T Express Philippines recently awarded its top three “hero riders” last July 2 during the Facebook and Youtube livestream of J&T Heroes: Bayani sa Makabagong Panahon which was watched by more than 190,000 viewers.

J&T Express Philippines Vice President Zoe Chi said the event is part of the company’s bayanihan spirit that aims to uplift the dignity of delivery riders as frontliners and modern heroes by recognizing their hard work, dedication, and contributions on the field every day.

“They have shown valor, creativity, ingenuity, and resilience in every parcel delivered. We are honored to have them in our J&T family. May you continue to serve as inspirations to every person you meet on the road,” she said.

Edison Awa, a J&T delivery rider based in Muntinlupa for two years now, garnered the top spot out of the final seven nominees and was named J&T Hero of the Year. According to his branch supervisor, Awa could deliver 100-300 packages in a day, or five or sometimes six days a week, making him one of the top couriers in his branch.

“Lahat naman kami deserve na maging J&T Hero,” he said. “Napakahalaga po ng delivery riders kasi kami ang nagdadala ng pangunahing pangangailan ng mga tao sa panahon na takot pa silang lumabas. Kahit natatakot para sa sarili, tinataas ko na lang sa Diyos ang aking kaligtasan para hindi bumigay sa hamon ng buhay."

As a breadwinner for his aging parents and siblings in the province as well as his own family of four, Awa used to rely on uncertain odd jobs in construction and agencies, but now finds fulfillment and steady income from being a J&T delivery frontliner. “Malaki ang pasasalamat ko sa J&T,” he added, “Ang mensahe ko sa aking co-riders, kahit gaano kahirap ang trabaho sa araw-araw, kahit gaano karami, isipin na ginagawa natin ito para sa ating mahal sa buhay.” As J&T Hero of the Year, Awa received a brand-new motorcycle and smart phone.


J&T Heroes recognize Daryl Ocenar from Tacloban City and Ricky Frias of J&T Taguig Branch as J&T Heroes second and third placer respectively.

They also received smartphones and corresponding prizes to include wireless earphones, Php5,000 worth of gift certificates, and an action camera. Other J&T Heroes finalists which include Raniel Pawilan (Quezon City), Russel Agullo (Makati City), Alan Guillen (Cebu City), and Jecel Beniga (Davao City) also took home gift certificates and special items from J&T.

Local leaders also sent their special messages of support including Davao Mayor Sara Duterte, Cebu Mayor Edgardo Labella; Jaen, Nueva Ecija Mayor Sylvia Austria, and Cabanatuan Mayor Myca Vergara.

J&T Express Launched “J&T Pantry”

From offering delivery services and helping online businesses, J&T Express expanded its services to further help the Filipino people and launched their very own “J&T Pantry”. Inspired by the “Maginhawa Community Pantry”, J&T Express took the initiative on starting their own community pantry on its Muntinlupa Branch, April 21, 2021.

In this time of crisis, many Filipinos are grappling to survive the Pandemic. J&T Express believes that during these challenging times it is important to stand strong and help one another. The J&T pantry was fully supported by its employees. On top of the items prepared by J&T Express, many of its team members chose to personally donate items, such as food and other basic essentials, to share with the community. This just shows how passionate the company and its employees on helping those who are greatly affected by the pandemic through the simple act of kindness.

The first “J&T Pantry” was launched on J&T Express Muntinlupa branch, open from 9:00 AM onwards.
