Universal Records has gathered some of the most memorable teleserye theme songs in their album One More Try: Favorite Teleserye Love Song and other OPM Hits.

The album’s carrier single One More Try, performed by Kuh Ledesma, is the theme of the phenomenal GMA TV series My Husband’s Lover. The series’ lead star Carla Abellana’s debut single Kung Alam Ko Lang is also included in the album.

Richard Poon’s Legends turns gold

Richard Poon’s "Legends" which includes the hits Truly,  Evergreen and Crazy, continues to top music sales charts since it was released four months ago and now it turns Gold! 

Richard Poon’s first album under Universal Records Legends was recently awarded a Gold Record Award for its outstanding sales.

With Richard during the awarding is Universal Records General Manager Kathleen Dy-Go.

In Legends, Richard traces his pop roots by singing some of the biggest pop artists in the international music industry - classics by Lionel Richie (Truly), Whitney Houston (All At Once), Barbra Streisand (Evergreen), Madonna (Borderline), Barry Manilow (Ready To Take A Chance Again), Kenny Rogers (Crazy), among others.

Richard also collaborates with friend Christian Bautista in the Michael Jackson hit The Girl Is Mine, which is included in the album.

Richard Poon launches pop album "Legends" this April 26 at Eastwood and April 28 at McKinley Hill

Richard Poon say goodbye to the local Big Band Crooner, as he goes back to pop with his latest album "Legends."

"Legends" will be launched this April 26, Friday, 7:00 p.m., Eastwood Mall Open Park, and April 28, Sunday, 7:00 p.m., Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill.

In Legends, Richard traces his pop roots by singing some of the biggest pop artists in the international music industry - classics by Lionel Richie (Truly), Whitney Houston (All At Once), Barbra Streisand (Evergreen), Madonna (Borderline), Barry Manilow (Ready To Take A Chance Again), among others.

“This is an interesting point in my career,” says Richard. “Aside from being with a new label (Universal), I am also going back to pop after years of doing big band.”

Richard adds that he welcomes the challenge with open arms, and he hopes that people will continue supporting him and his music.

Richard joins the elite roster of Universal Records artists – Gary Valenciano, Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez, Noel Cabangon, Christian Bautista, Gloc-9, JayR, Sam Concepcion, Parokya Ni Edgar, Sponge Cola, Callalily, Kamikazee, among others.

Singer/Songwriter Richard Poon joins Universal Records

Filipino-Chinese singer/songwriter Richard Poon has released multi-platinum albums over the years, making him the country’s premiere Big Band Crooner. This 2013, Richard has decided to make a bold move – to return to pop and join Universal Records, the country’s largest independent record label.

Poon is an accomplished musician whose deep knowledge of music allows him to delve into a wide variety of other musical genres. He has gone on a successful career and is a well-known jazz singer. Richard sings regularly every Sunday at Philippines’ variety show ASAP 2013 with the powerhouse cast of ASAP Sessionistas 

In the elite roster of Universal Records of prime male singers, Richard joins Gary Valenciano, Ogie Alcasid, Christian Bautista, Noel Cabangon, Billy Crawford, JayR .
