Miss Universe Philippines Fan Vote Extended Until Sept 29

 



Beauty pageant fans now have until September 29 to vote their favorite Miss Universe Philippines finalist into the Top 16, only on Lazada – the pageant’s official voting platform this year. Fans can enter up to five (5) votes daily through the Fan Vote function and the finalist with the most votes will secure a place in the Top 16, bringing her a step closer to winning the coveted crown!

Instructions to access the voting page are as follows:

  1. In the Lazada Home Page, click on ‘Feed’
  2. In the ‘Feed’ page, click on the ‘Miss Universe Philippines’ tab at the top bar
  3. Click the ‘Go to vote’ button and claim the five (5) Daily Free Votes
  4. Click on ‘Vote’ below the finalist’s name and photo, and wait for a voting confirmation pop-up

Fans can also support their favorite candidate by purchasing special packages offered on the voting page:

  1. On the ‘Miss Universe Philippines’ main page, click the ‘Get more votes’ button. Users then click ‘Buy Votes’ and are able to select among the Voting Packages offered
  2. If the user has already used his/her five (5) Daily Free Vote, he/she can click the ‘Get more votes’ button shown at the top of the voting page, or whenever a user clicks on any finalist on the page.

Lazada’s Miss Universe Philippines Video Contest: Showcasing Shopping Faves from the Beauty Queens

In addition to the Fan Vote feature, fans were also given a special opportunity to get to know their candidates better through a recently concluded video contest that showcased the favorite Lazada shopping choices of each beauty queen. The social media contest asked each Miss Universe candidate to choose one item from Lazada, and top fan choices included a scrabble set chosen by Masbate’s Kirsten Danielle Delavin, a portable printer to capture and preserve memories on the go from Taguig’s Katrina Dimaranan, beauty products and face masks to detox for Cebu City’s Steffi Rose Aberasturi, Vitamin C infused with Vitamin E supplements for a healthy immune system and glowing skin for Pangasinan’s Maureen Christa Wroblewitz, and a nifty portable phone holder and lighting set-up for San Juan City’s Rousanne Marie Bernos. Kirsten Danielle Delavin, who won the video contest on Facebook, will be awarded during the preliminary competition the special title of Miss Universe Philippines Lazada and P50,000 in Lazada Wallet credits.

Fashion Evolution, the Metro Blogger Edition Model Finalists Revealed!

Watch out on March 28, 2015, the day of the great reveal, when out of the 44 finalists, one male and one female model will emerge the winners at the fashion show cum runway model search entitled “Fashion Evolution” a must-attend event mounted by Metro Blogger, the Philippines’ newest social circle for bloggers around the metro.

Rigorous go-sees and screening done, the next step for Metro Blogger’s fashion show cum runway model search entitled “Fashion Evolution” finalists are now down to 44.

Last January, more than one hundred hopefuls filled the go-see venue as excitement started to rise for the show which Metro Blogger will do for the first time as a special Bloggers’ Night Out event.

Metro Blogger was founded founded last 2014,  it came up with Bloggers’ Night Out which was a fun, face-to-face mingling event among bloggers. The organization aims to serve as an avenue for disseminating information on event invites, new products, campaigns and services to a diverse group of members with different interest but share the same passion in blogging.

“In today’s highly connected world, blogging matters. It has now become a significant source of online buzz with consumer interest in blogs continuing to grow,” Mr. Jess C, Metro Blogger founder said. “Metro Blogger is a special community for bloggers. All 22 male and 22 female model finalists will have lots of chances to strut their stuff before the final night. This February, a photo shoot, a press conference and a meet and greet session will give these contenders more than one chance to wow their followers and judges prior to the finals, which will be held at the Century City Mall, Makati.

“We’re proud to announce that we have been able to partner with some of the country’s young and talented fashion designers to dress up our model finalists,” said Choy Suarez, Director of Fashion Evolution, the Metro Blogger Edition.

Ian Mallabo, Dino Bancoro, Jian Lasala, Yves Camingue, Hanna De Los Reyes and Charles Anito will all be debuting their latest fashion collection during the fashion show.

Two winners, one male and one female, will each receive cash prize plus an all-expense paid 4days/3nights trip to Singapore complete with a photo shoot project with Singapore fashion brands. They will also receive a one-year fitness contract with Slimmers World Philippines.

Miss Ecuador Wins Miss Earth 2011


Miss Ecuador Olga Alva crowned as the Miss Earth 2011 at the coronation night in UP Diliman during the Coronation Show on Dec. 3. The 23-year-old beat out contestants from 84 other countries to win the competition.


Miss Ecuador, Olga Alava, was the stunning beauty  accepted her award wearing a glittering white gown with silver rhinestone embellishments.


Alava is a native of Guayaquil. She is a model and an international business graduate as well as a student of Asian culture, who studied in China for a year and speaks fluent Mandarin.

The exotic beauty presented an ecological project for safeguarding Ecuador's mangroves. She also acts as an advocate for the protection of the Yasuni biosphere reserve in her native country.
The Philippines’ representative, Athena Mae Imperial,  was hailed as Miss Water.

Caroline Medina of Venezuela was named Miss Fire while Driely Araujo of Brazil was crowned Miss Air.



Miss Ecuador impressed judges with her answer on why education must be the priority of world leaders in promoting environmentalism. 

As this year’s title-holder, it is her duty to be an ambassador for the environment.



Miss Philippines still stood out wearing a red gown. Miss Venezuela looked like a real-life Barbie doll with her pink sequined gown.
 




“I will continue working for the environment. I’m very proud to represent my country and have this crown. I’m very happy,” Miss Ecuador told members of the press after the pageant. 

Miss Ecuador is happy for the Filipinos' support and warm welcome since they arrived in the country for the pageant's activities. She added that all of the contestants are qualified for the crown. She hopes that the candidates continue their advocacy for the environment.

“I h

ope they can still help me and work with me. They’re here for a purpose. I hope they continue protecting the environment,” Miss Ecuador said.

"Celebrating Forests for People" was the slogan of this year's Miss Earth pageant, in an effort to raise awareness of the effects of climate change. Miss Ecuador also took home a cash prize of $20,000 along with other rewards.
