Trumpets returns with the magical musical The Bluebird of Happiness

What happens when two kids embark on a magical adventure to find happiness?
The Bluebird of Happiness follows the unforgettable adventure of poor kids Mytyl and Tyltyl search of a mythical creature called the bluebird of happiness. They are accompanied by their dog, their cat, and a candle in human form named "Light" who help them on their journey. Together, they explore wondrous and mysterious lands and meet interesting and enchanted characters in their quest for true happiness.
They visit "The Land of Memory" where they encounter their long dead grandparents, "The Palace ofNight" where nightmares and horrors creep from dark corners, "The Forest" filled with trees who have a grudge against humans, "The Land of Luxury" that holds all kinds of riches and bounty, and "The Land of the Future" where sadness is unknown and “The Graveyard” where they must face their worst fears. Despite of all the places they visit they end up where they started and find that the "Bluebird of Happiness" is right in their own home.
“It will be an unforgettable, magical adventure for all families,” says Trumpets President Audie Gemora on why he chose this project to mark Trumpets’ musical comeback. “Trumpets prides itself with productions like The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Joseph The Dreamer, Little Mermaid, among others. ABS-CBN stages simultaneous 5-city "ONE RUN, ONE PHILIPPINES"

Pinoys in five cities can run to save five environment projects including Pasig River rehabilitation
Thousands of participants are expected to take part in the “One Run, One Philippines,” the five-city simultaneous advocacy run of ABS-CBN in the Philippines and the United States this October 6 as part of ABS-CBN’s 60th anniversary celebration.

In cooperation of ABS-CBN Foundation’s Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig (KBPIP), Regional Network Group (RNG) and The Filipino Channel (TFC), the “One Run, One Philippines” will invade Quezon City, Cebu City, Bacolod City, Davao City, and Los Angeles (USA) to clamor for the protection of various environmental advocacies.

"Participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottles as disposable cups will not be provided at water stations positioned along the roads to promote environmental awareness and minimize waste production," said ABS-CBN Foundation managing director Gina Lopez at the press conference held at the Torre Venezia Suites, the official hotel partner of the event.

The Quezon City leg or the fifth “Run for the Pasig River” will be held at Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC) with 6:00 AM gunstart for both 3K and 5K categories. Starting line is located at the Technohub overpass. Participants will go straight along Commonwealth Avenue then head to QMC for the finish line.

As part of its preparation, lanes that will be used for the race will be closed at 2 AM on the event day, while the two outermost lanes on both sides of Commonwealth Avenue will remain open. The motorists are advised to take alternate routes if possible as heavy traffic is expected.

Parking zones located at Philcoa, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Agriculture, Department of Environmental and Natural Resources, Sugar Regulatory Commission, Trinoma, Wildlife, Quezon City Hall, National House Authority, and side streets of University Avenue, Visayas Avenue, North Avenue, Quezon Avenue, East Avenue and Kalayaan Avenue have been reserved for participants with vehicles.

Meanwhile, the three provincial legs will all start at 4:30 AM with its 21K category followed by the 5K and 10 K at 5:30 AM. Starting line of Cebu leg is at SM City Cebu, Davao leg is at the Abreeza Mall, while the Bacolod leg is at the Provincial Capitol Lagoon.

The Los Angeles leg, on the other hand, will begin at 7:30 AM with its 1K Kiddie Run, 5K and 10K categories at Burbank, California.

The Cebu leg will benefit coastal conservation in Daan Paz; the Davao leg will support the ecotourism projects in Marilog Tourist Center; the Bacolod leg will help the mangrove and livelihood projects in Punta Taytay, Sum-ag River rehabilitation, and ecotourism projects in Bacolod City Water District Campuestuhan Watershed; while the Los Angeles leg will fund the Green Initiative of Bantay Kalikasan.

Kapamilya stars Anne Curtis, Kim Atienza, Kim Chiu, Karylle and model-blogger Erwann Heusaff will lead the “Run for the Pasig River” in Quezon City that will again raise funds for the rehabilitation of the Pasig River and its tributaries.

Paulo Avelino, Jayson Abalos (Cebu leg); Maja Salvador, Aaron Villaflor, Bryan Termulo (Davao City); Joem Bascon, Paul Jake Castillo, Bangs Garcia; and Jake Cuenca (Los Angeles), will represent the four other legs of "One Run, One Philippines," which will also benefit various environmental projects.

The KBPIP has organized four successful runs for the Pasig River and had raised P25.94 million. In 2009, the fun run funded the initial phase of Estero de Paco’s clean-up, while the historic “10.10.10 Run for the Pasig River” funded the second phase and even broke the Guinness World Record for the “most number of participants in a running event” with 116,086 runners.
The 2011 and 2012 runs for the Pasig River are currently aiding the rehabilitation of 16 esteros in Quezon City and Manila including the Estero de San Miguel and four others behind the MalacaƱan Palace.

Judy Ann Santos is the latest celebrity endorser of Champion Fabri-con

Judy Ann Santos - Agoncillo is one of the finest young actresses of her generation, well known for many movies and television shows, successfully established her place in show business. She also appeared on television commercials of various products, and she chooses her endorsements well to preserve her good public image. "Juday" as she is called by most people close to her including her fans, is really enjoying real-life role as mother to Yohan and Lucho, and wife to TV host and actor Ryan Agoncillo.
And presently, Judy Ann finds comfort of home with Champion Fabri-con. Champion Detergent, currently one of the leading detergent brands in the country, has reached another milestone in its commitment to offer meaningful quality products to Filipino consumers with the release of its CHAMPION FABRI-CON – Liquid Fabric Conditioner with Freshness Capsules. And very much timely as Peerless Products Manufacturing Corporation, the company behind the Champion brand, is celebrating its 50th Anniversary since its founding in 1963. This new product continues the company’s 50-year tradition of excellence in all its products.
I have attended press conference for Judy Ann this afternoon, September 23 held at Paranaque Function Rooms of Shangri-La Hotel in Makati City. It was a light afternoon and during an intimate luncheon with friends from print, online and television media, the endorser gamely showed off her newfound love to the newest addition to the roster of premier quality products of Champion.
And who better to help launch this latest fabric conditioner product than the Philippines’ primetime television and film queen Ms. Judy Ann Santos. “It was a natural decision for me to join the Champion family. The same reason, my husband (Ryan Agoncillo) agreed to do it, it really is the virtue of the brand’s integrity that made me say yes to it,” says the newest face of Champion Fabri-Con. “When we talk about Champion, it’s all about high quality. It’s about top-of-the-line ingredients, which is also true for this new product with its quality fragrance oils that release a fresh and airy fragrance throughout the day. And that’s what I love about it.”

Champion Fabri-Con provides an elegant, well-balanced and sophisticated profile of fragrance—one that comes from all-quality ingredients and that reminds us of the comfort of home.

“I use it everywhere, and I always get wonderful end-results. Aside from softening, it also leaves this powdery fresh scent in all my fabrics – whether it’s home linens like blankets and curtains, or the clothes of my loved ones.”

“That’s the power of Champion Fabri-Con. It makes you feel right at home,” she ends with a smile.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL REVEALS THE MIND’S POWER WITH BRAIN GAMES

Premiering on September 24, 2013, Tuesday at 9 PM is National Geographic Channel’s new series Brain Games, a show that explores the human mind’s powers of perception as well as the skills that it affords us. Using mind-boggling experiments, brainteasers, optical illusions and hard science, Brain Games shows viewers how the human brain works and how their lives are affected as a result.
NGC will be showing a Brain Games special on September 24 for its premiere. In the premiere episode, viewers are lured into the world of sleight of hand, of advanced card play and card magic, with a focus on the oldest card trick in the world, the Three Card Monte. Card performers will be revealing the secrets behind their tricks as well as exploring the psychology that allows people to be tricked. Also, the connection between human beings and primates will be highlighted, giving us a better understanding of our social interactions and dynamics, and how we perceive our relationships because we are hard-wired in a certain way.

Viewers of the show will learn that seeing isn’t necessarily believing when they are presented with optical illusions that, when revealed, will illustrate how our brains help us build our ideas of reality. Brain Games will also examine the powers of persuasion and how marketers are trained to communicate with us in such ways that our brains can’t help responding to or be convinced.

Brain Games will leave no fold of gray matter unturned, no neuron untouched in its quest to help viewers understand how and why the brain works. With the help of experts in neuroscience and mind trickery, the show discusses and explains many aspects of thinking that affect our lives, from issues of trust and sanity to why we make certain decisions and how men and women’s brains work differently.

NGC has partnered with @IGersManila to promote Brain Games through the Instagram account’s #9PMHabit daily contest. The promo will run from September 24 to October 22 during the showing of Brain Games on NGC. @IGersManila will be making calls for photo entries based on weekly ad daily themes determined by NGC, and submissions must be made between 9 PM and 11 PM, with the following tags: #9PMHabit, @IGersManila, @NatGeoChannelsPH, #BrainGamesPH and the hashtag for the theme of the day.
