SB19 announces release of new single “WYAT” and upcoming world tour

P-pop Kings SB19 announces their return to the music scene with WYAT [Where You At], a disco-pop track that highlights the urgency of disconnection to reconnection of the times. The upcoming release marks SB19’s first new material as a group in a year after launching their 2021 EP, Pagsibol.
A series of cryptic riddles reveals SB19’s much-anticipated comeback single and upcoming world tour.

“It’s been a year, the word 'hiatus' may sound negative but we took it from a different perspective. We maximized the opportunity to think more as to what we can improve on, how we can prepare for our comeback,” says SB19 Stell.

SB19 Ken mentions “We are thrilled to be releasing a new song for our fans. Bigger, better. I hope that A'TIN will appreciate at best the work we've done for our upcoming tour.” WYAT drops on all streaming platforms on September 2, 2022, with the official music video to be released on the same day.

The award-winning and Billboard nominee Philippine Pop phenom is also set to stage their biggest local and international tour to date. WYAT [Where You At] Tour kicks off on September 17, 2022 at Araneta Coliseum, to be followed by a series of shows in Clark, Cebu, Davao and more.

In the following months, the tour extends globally as SB19 heads to multiple countries - US, UAE, and Singapore to name a few. International A’TIN can expect SB19 to drop by their city starting October 2022.

“This will be the first time for us to be going out of the country for our own concert,” reveals SB19 Josh. “We’re excited to meet our international fans. If I may put it: we were caterpillars inside cocoons when we were just starting and now, we've turned into butterflies ready to spread our wings!”

According to SB19 Justin, the five-piece group is very much involved in the creative process behind the upcoming tour, from conceptualization to choreography, from promotion strategy to visual ideation.

He explains, “When SB19 Pablo told us the meaning of WYAT, the song that he and his brother Josue created, I was able to conceptualize WYAT. From there, our team was able to brainstorm on how to improve my initial concept. We made options and showed the other members of SB19, so they could also give their insights. One idea led to another. We started plotting everything: from teasers to the actual music video, every post, down to the last detail.”

SB19 Justin adds, “Josh tweaks a bit of everything, from choreography to the direction of our shoots. He and Pablo has a big role in decision-making. Ken helps with the creative process, from how the dances should look to the set design. Aside from being the main choreographer, Stell also shares ideas on how to promote our comeback. He’s been mentioning if we could play the videos after our recent performances before the tour starts, So we did. Last August 7, 2022 at Mall of Asia Arena was when we first dropped our video teaser in front of thousands of live audience. I highly consider what the other members, management, staff and other people around me think. It really takes a village and is a healthy collaboration.”

More details about the local and international tour will be announced soon.

Explore the Next Generation of Ultra Slim Foldables with Xiaomi MIX Fold 2

Beijing, CHINA- Xiaomi revealed its advanced foldable flagship smartphone, Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, at a new product launch event in Mainland China, alongside the highly-anticipated annual speech of Lei Jun, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi.

Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 is a giant technological leap in the ultra-slim foldable smartphone space. Measuring just 5.4mm¹ unfolded, Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 offers a consistent viewing experience on both its inner and outer displays. Additionally, it delivers an authentic Leica imagery experience and outstanding power efficiency with the latest Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform.

In addition to Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, Xiaomi also announced Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro, Redmi K50 Ultra, and a host of ecosystem products.

Self-developed Micro Waterdrop Hinge

Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 boasts a revolutionary design. It is one of the thinnest foldable smartphones on the market with a folded body just 11.2mm¹ thin—significantly slimmer than many other foldable devices. Both edges measure just only 5.4mm¹ unfolded, offering a pleasant in-hand feel experience.

To achieve these breakthroughs in form factor, Xiaomi focused on refining the hinge – the core component of the foldable smartphone. Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 is equipped with a self-developed Micro Waterdrop Hinge which features a smaller bending radius, thinner screen modules, customized mini rotating hinge, and utilized an integrated solder-free precision process to create a carbon fiber double-wing floating panel. Together, these highly integrated components reduced the number of parts to only 87, enabling a lighter and thinner hinge design than ever before.

In addition, both sides of the hinge use space stacking technology, and use large hidden spaces on both sides of the hinge for soft boards, achieving a 20% increase in space utilization and thereby offering the 5.4mm¹ flat design with balanced weight distribution.

Two displays, one exceptional viewing experience

Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 sports an inner folding design, with two AMOLED flagship screens of two different sizes on two respective sides. The outer display adopts a 21:9 classic ratio design, allowing for excellent compatibility with most applications and taking into account user experience when handling. The 6.56" display features Samsung E5 material, a resolution of 2520x1080, and supports 120Hz high refresh rate and P3 color gamut, with a brightness of up to 1000nit–giving it an edge over other common displays thanks to its outstanding user experience.

On the inside Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 flaunts an 8.02" Samsung Eco² OLED display. It adopts POL-LESS technology, replaces the traditional polarizer with an ultra-thin color filter, and uses a black matrix material to reduce reflection on the screen. Compared to traditional displays, light transmittance has been increased by 33%, with power consumption reduced by 25%. This screen has a resolution of 2160x1914, supports P3 color gamut and LTPO 2.0 1-120Hz AdaptiveSync Pro. The ultra-low anti-AR film allows the display to reduce reflectivity to less than 2%, resulting in more detailed viewing experience and pleasing aesthetics.

The two displays offer an exceptionally consistent user experience, both supporting 120Hz refresh rate, professional screen calibration on primary colors, 1,000nit brightness and Dolby Vision. Regardless of which screen is used, the device supports dual ambient light sensing on the front and back, providing for natural and smooth automatic brightness adjustment.

MIUI Fold 13, the new standard for foldable displays

Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 runs on the latest MIUI Fold 13 operating system. Developed as a permutation of the classic MIUI interface, it is perfectly adapted to foldable form factor, with screen interaction optimizations offering advancements in user experience.

The smart screen desktop design adapts to the foldable display and doubles the viewing area of the smartphone. As well as maintaining visual consistency, it allows for the hundreds of available MIUI widgets to be used without deformation, increasing both aesthetics and usability.

Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 system applications are customized for its large screen, and a large number of app interfaces have been redesigned for a better on-screen experience. Calendar, file management, voice recorder, notes, and other applications apply a new column design to take full advantage of the large screen. Third-party application adaptation will be conducted according to solutions available in Android 12L, providing more native support capability for third-party apps.

Additional Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 innovations include updates in smart screen interaction. Users can now three finger swipe to split screen. Floating windows can be quickly accessed through the sidebar, which can also be used to exit split screen mode. The design of floating windows and notifications has also been adjusted, and multitasking on a smartphone has never been quite this efficient.

Authentic Leica Imagery, dual-quality approach

Xiaomi has set a new imaging standard for smartphone photography, combining Leica’s imagery expertise with Xiaomi’s rich experience in the field of computational photography.

To ensure optical excellence, Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 is equipped with a 50-megapixel IMX766 main camera, with 7P lenses all using ALD low-reflection coating. Also featured are a 13MP ultra-wide angle camera and a 8MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and portrait capabilities.

In addition to the Leica-certified Summicron lens, Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 offers access to two photographic styles: The "Leica Authentic Look" and "Leica Vibrant Look", both offering enhanced creative freedom to the photographer.

With the Xiaomi ProFocus support, Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 offers fast camera startup, quick captures, and continuous shooting support up to 30 frames per second.

In regards to video, Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 supports Dolby Vision HDR recording, as well as both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for video viewing. Videos shot on Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 will look amazing, particularly when utilizing UGC platforms which support Dolby Vision, allowing users to share exceptional visuals online.

Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 and flagship performance packed in an ultra-slim body

In addition to its revolutionary thin and light foldable screen design, Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 takes advantage of the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform for snappy performance. TSMC's 4nm manufacturing process enables a significant increase in energy efficiency while integrating tens of billions of transistors, into an area the size of a fingernail. The advanced process allows both CPU and GPU to receive a 10% boost in performance, while simultaneously improving CPU and GPU energy consumption by 30%. This upgraded design allows the ultra-slim smartphone to maintain higher speeds and efficiency at the same time.

Excellent power efficiency allows for a long lasting battery, with a full day of use being possible even when the inner screen is frequently used, with extended use when using primarily the outer display.

Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 also packs a cooling system equipped with a large-area VC, rarely seen on foldable smartphones. The high-quality VC offers a surface area of up to 2,520mm², enabling 50% improvement in thermal conductivity compared to typical VCs. The inner layer of the battery is covered with second-generation boron nitride heat dissipation film, with an area of up to 3715mm². Finally, multi-layer high-density graphite sheet creates a solid foundation for Xiaomi MIX Fold 2’s excellent sustained performance.

Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro – work and entertainment with a 12.4" large display

Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro features a large 12.4" display, which users can fully utilize for a highly efficient and convenient experience in both work and entertainment scenarios.

The 12.4" high-quality display features an ultra-high resolution of 2560x1600, 120Hz high refresh rate, and hardware-level blue light reduction, providing a comfortable and smooth experience for video-watching and swift multitasking on split-screens. Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro's built-in conference mode can convert speech into text in real time, quickly distinguish between different speakers, and supports real-time translation between Chinese and English.

Redmi K50 Ultra – an all-round upgrade

Joining the beloved Redmi K50 Series is Redmi K50 Ultra. With large-scale upgrades in performance, display, camera and charging, Redmi K50 Ultra takes product and user experience to the next level.

Redmi K50 features the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform and a 1.5K flatscreen display. The smartphone's triple camera consists of a 100MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide angle camera and 2MP telephoto camera, enhanced by implementing numerous Xiaomi AI Image solutions. The combination of advanced software and hardware allow Redmi K50 Ultra to significantly improve the quality of images. Furthermore, the combination of a 5,000mAh battery and 120W HyperCharge technology ensures hassle free daily use with as short as 19 mins needed for a full charge.²

Also announced today was Redmi K50 Ultra Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team Summer Edition. Adding on to the ultimate performance of the standard Redmi K50 Ultra, it incorporates the team's signature silver, petroleum green lines, and carbon fiber textures into the design.

In addition, Xiaomi also launched today: Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro, Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro, Xiaomi Conference Tapcast, Xiaomi Bluetooth Speakerphone, Mijia Smart Purifying Range Hood P1, and Mijia Dual-Drum Washer Dryer 15kg.

Empresa Homes Mariveles welcomes new homeowners in the “Industrial Heartland of Central Luzon”

All eyes are on Bataan, currently tagged as the “Industrial Heartland of Central Luzon”. The designation is well-earned as this once laidback province is now a bustling industry and investment hub where a slew of industrial estates and multi-national companies thrive.
The Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge is only a 15-minute drive from Empresa Mariveles.

With several engines of growth across the Bataan Peninsula—the Hermosa Ecozone Industrial Park; the Bataan Technology Park and Subic Bay Freeport Zone; the Mt. Samat Flagship Tourism Enterprise Zone; the Limay Industrial Estate and Government Arsenal; and the Freeport Area of Bataan—it is only logical that homebuyers and property investors are earnestly eyeing Bataan as an ideal place to settle down.

Indeed, the past years have seen Bataan steadily transform into a flourishing economic zone, opening doors for job and business opportunities and affording its longtime residents and migrant workers the chance to prosper and grow. These comprise the market of potential homebuyers that leading residential property developer Empresa Homes, known for building its projects in progressive towns and cities in the Philippines, is primed to serve.

In fact, Empresa Homes Mariveles, located at Barangay Lucanin in Mariveles, Bataan, is just the residential enclave they need to set down roots, raise a family, and move towards a foreseeably bright future.
Empresa Homes Mariveles, located at Barangay Lucanin in Mariveles, Bataan, is just the residential enclave homeowners need to set down roots.

Families with school-age kids will be gratified to know that Empresa Mariveles is located close to schools such as Batangas II and Lucanin Elementary School, Mariveles National High School, PUP Bataan, Balanga State University, and Limay Polytechnic College. Retail establishments like Puregold Cabcaben, VistaMall Bataan, Batangas Market, Cabcaben Market, and Mariveles Market are also a short commute away.

Empresa Mariveles homeowners are likewise perfectly positioned to benefit from infrastructure projects that are underway. One is the longest and largest span in the region—the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge, a 15-minute drive from Empresa Mariveles. Cross the Manila Bay from Mariveles to Cavite in just 30-minutes. Imagine road trips to the metropolis and back made easier and shorter, offering more livelihood and business opportunities to the community’s entrepreneurs.

Commuters and motorists will likewise appreciate Empresa Mariveles’ proximity to major roads and highways like the Roman Superhighway and the Dinalupihan Exit of SCTEX (Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway).

As in the developer’s other residential projects in the country, Empresa Mariveles features leisure and security amenities, like a basketball court, a park, and a kiddie playground—plus guarded entrances and exits and a perimeter fence.
Interested property buyers and investors in Bataan can check out Empresa home models via virtual tours in the BRIA website.

The Mariveles development offers the contemporary Elena unit, a rowhouse with 22 sq. m. floor area and 36 sq. m. lot area, which has living and dining areas, a toilet and bath, and provisions for bedroom and service area. It will also soon offer Elena xE, an enhanced version with painted fence and gate, complete toilet and bath fixtures, common area floor tiles and bathroom floor and wall tiles.

“Rest assured, Empresa Homes remains committed to building safe and secure modern communities in towns and cities where we see great potential for our future residents,” Neil Almonte, Empresa Homes North/Central Luzon and Rizal Division Head affirms. “With the province of Bataan staying on track as one of Central Luzon’s more progressive provinces, we are set to welcome new homeowners in our Bataan properties.”

Hi purr-ents there! Here are some ways to take care of your cat

Being a purr-ent requires round-the-clock commitment. If you are a first-time cat owner, you must have been spending most of your time on the internet, trying to learn all the basics. That sounds like a lot of work so to make it easier for you, we rounded up some of the best tips so you can better take care of your feline babies.

GIVE THEM A “SAFE SPACE”

The first few days are very critical as this will pretty much dictate how fast they can acclimatize in their new home. For kittens, you have to put them in a separate room or a dedicated area as they may get lost or hurt themselves while exploring. If you are taking in older cats, make sure that you put them away from dangerous things and other pets—the term “scaredy cat” was coined for a reason so trying to keep the surrounding safe and quiet would likely help them adjust faster. Also, make sure that if you are in the presence of kids, they won’t immediately rush towards their newfound friends as this can be overwhelming for cats and may eventually scare them off.

TAKE THINGS GRADUALLY—ESPECIALLY WITH FOOD

Cats are naturally finicky and this may especially apply when it comes to food. If you have recently discovered a new food and have noticed that your cat is just passing by their bowl or worse, having irregular bowel movements, their new diet must be the culprit. When changing your cat’s food, whether from dry to wet, introducing a new brand or making homemade meals, do it gradually. Mix the new food with the old one to give your cats sufficient time to adjust.

KEEP LITTER BOXES CLEAN

Because of their natural survival instincts carried down from their ancestors, cats can be very particular when it comes to cleanliness. This is the reason why you should keep their litter box clean at all times. If you have more than one cat, secure one litter box per cat so they have plenty of areas to eliminate. The dirtier their litter box is, the more chances of them holding in their feces or urine which can later on cause bladder issues and more.

TAKE REGULAR VISITS TO THE VET

As much as you’d like to take things in your own hands, getting professional help is always the best option. Once you notice that your cat is not eating or there is any change in their normal behavior, take a trip to the vet for proper diagnosis and necessary intervention.

ALWAYS PROVIDE FRESH WATER

Most domesticated cats don’t drink enough water which makes them prone to urinary track infection and other kidney issues. Two of the top reasons include their lack of interest in stagnant water and their sensitive sense of smell, making them refuse drinking contaminated water of from contaminated bowls. To address this, you may have to bring home a pet fountain as running water will encourage them to drink more and keep their drinking water fresh.

The Cherry Pet Smart Pet Fountain is one of the most ideal options available in the market. If you don’t spend much time at home ergo, cannot change your cat’s water as often as possible, this smart pet fountain features 3-stage filtration system, water purity detection, and UVC light to kill water germs and bacteria. You can also control this remotely via the Cherry Home app which may be downloaded for free on your Android or iOS smartphone. It also highlights a 2L capacity so you can leave your home without worrying about refills. Definitely a smart pet product for the smart furparent like you. Get this for only P4,400 by visiting:

Free medical consultation for foodpanda partner riders

O
n a mission to continue providing healthcare and safety benefits to its Ka-pandas, foodpanda has partnered with KonsultaMD to provide its fleet of partner riders, e-scooters, bikers, and walkers with free telemedicine consultation services.

Through the partnership, which ran March to June, thousands of Ka-pandas from the country’s leading online quick commerce platform were offered 24/7 free unlimited voice consultations and 4 video consultations with licensed medical doctors through the KonsultaMD app.

“Maayos naman po ang naging experience ko rito sa KonsultaMD sa pag-papakonsulta ng aking nararamdaman sa dibdib. Binigyan po ako agad ng reseta sa online session. Maganda po ang serbisyo, para na rin akong nagpatingin sa ospital, “said Junrey Sahitas, a 22-year-old foodpanda partner rider.

Aside from the video consultations, the healthcare program also included prescriptions, laboratory requests, and other services.

As a father to a 7-month-old baby, Renz Cedrick Sta. Maria was delighted when he found that that the free health plan also extends to up to 4 more dependents of foodpanda delivery partners. “Pina-check ko po yung baby ko kasi hinihingal po siya noon, parang hinihika. Nag fill-out po ako ng form at hindi rin nagtagal ang paghihintay ko at nag-send agad sila ng reseta.“

According to Patricia Jacinto, Operations Director of foodpanda Philippines, they decided to extend the program from May to June coming from its initial run last March to April as they saw how the program was well-received by the Ka-panda fleet. “We all know that our Ka-panda partner riders are more prone to health and safety risks as they are always on the road. This is our way of providing them with an added layer of support and protection as our partner delivery riders, and we are quite happy that they also deemed this helpful for them and for their family members.”

Jacinto also shared that they made the process of availing convenient for their partner riders by sending the unique voucher code to their rider app so they can easily redeem the health plan from the KonsultaMD app.

On top of the free consultation service, foodpanda has also been consistent at rolling out programs that will prioritize the health and safety of its Ka-panda delivery partners. It includes linking them to PhilHealth to access basic healthcare benefits and a free insurance coverage that will protect them while they make deliveries on the road.
