Epson wins Best Photo Printer, Best Photo Projector and Best Photo Scanner in TIPA Awards 2015

Editors and journalists from photography magazines around the world have recognized three Epson products in the prestigious TIPA Awards 2015.

The winning Epson products this year were the Epson SureColor P600, which was named "Best Photo Printer," the Epson EH-LS10000, which was named "Best Photo Projector," and the Epson Perfection V850 Pro, which won the award for "Best Photo Scanner."

TIPA -- the Technical Image Press Association -- judges the innovation, technology, design, ease-of-use, and price-to-performance ratio of products launched in a 12-month period to develop a shortlist and winner for each award category.

With members in nine European countries plus Australia, Canada, China, India, South Africa, Brazil, and the USA, TIPA is one of the largest and most influential photographic and imaging press associations in the world. Winning the three 2015 awards means that Epson has now received a total of 37 awards from TIPA for technologies and imaging products, including inkjet printers, inks, scanners, and projectors, since 1997.

World of DC Comics: Manila joins Cities Around the Globe to Break the World Record

The World of DC Comics campaign in Manila offers fans a series of events that they can participate in with their families and fellow DC enthusiasts.

Pacific Licensing Studio (PLS) unveils the World of DC Comics campaign, a year-long program consisting of events, merchandising and promotions for 2015. 

The program includes a 3-day event highlighting the World of DC Comics in Television, Movies, Comic Books, Video Games and Animation. Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) and PLS worked closely with main retailer, the SM Store, local licensing partners and sponsors to offer exclusive merchandise, promotional support and others to bring fans this exciting campaign in Manila. 

This April, fans are invited to enjoy two major events which are the DC Comics Super Hero World Record event and the DC Comics All-Star Fun Run.

The DC Comics Super Hero World Record event is set to achieve a world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as DC Comics Super Heroes on April 18, 2015 at the SM North Edsa, The Block Atrium. Manila will be joining 12 cities around the globe in an attempt to break the record within 24 hours. Aside from the DC Comics Super Hero World Record event, fans can enjoy exhibits, interactive games and activities on April 17 to 19, 2015 at the SM North Edsa, The Block Atrium and Cyberzone. To participate in the DC Comics Super Hero World Record Event, fans must dress from head-to-toe as an instantly recognized Super Hero that has been featured in a DC Comics published book, television program or film. Both homemade costumes as well as official costumes from licensees and official event retail partners will be considered as long as they are a full representation of the Super Hero and are as close to the original DC Comics’ Super Hero’s costume as possible. The world record will be set once fans gather in the assigned area and stay there for a full five minutes to be counted in the record. 

In addition, an All-Star Fun Run will also be happening on April 18, 2015 at 4:00 am at the SM by the Bay, SM Mall of Asia. Fans can run with the World’s Greatest Heroes and receive a limited edition Justice League Race Kit. 

The run consists of three categories: 3k-, 5k- and 10k-runs.

Internationally renowned graphic artist AJ Dimarucot – who has designed for global personalities such as Michael Jackson, Alicia Keys, and Manny Pacquiao – handles all the creatives, while his wife Audrey is in charge of logistics, operations and marketing.

“Googoo means crazy, and that’s me, and gaga means love, and that’s her,” AJ quips.AJ’s designs are those that take up all the space and uses as much colors as possible. The question he always asks himself is, “What else can I put?”

googoo&gaga always goes all out with its designs, while Thread 365 is a minimalist. They’re the complete opposites, which only proves that opposites really do attract. 

Even before the collaboration, Anne admits she was a customer of googoo&gaga apparel for her daughter. She says, “I love just how alive their prints are, and that stayed with me. I always thought if we went into a kids’ line, they would be a great brand to work with. Interestingly, we started with an adult line with them".

“We do very colorful, and sometimes wild things, and so with this project, we have something to offer the market that prefers simpler, more basic things. We were ready to do something that could appeal to more people.” Audrey adds. 

So when Thread 365 was conceptualizing its summer collection for 2015, the partnership became inevitable. 

Thread 365 incorporated googoo&gaga’s signature Spectrum print to infuse subtle yet eye-catching details to its plain tees. The result?
