Paolo Sandejas’ Delightfully Sweet Single “HIDE & SEEK” Is About Finally Finding Your Special Soulmate

Following the successful release of “Different Shade of Blue” last January (WATCH OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO HERE), which has racked up over 491,000 streams on Spotify, rising singer-songwriter Paolo Sandejas is dropping yet another feel-good indie-pop single, “HIDE & SEEK” under Universal Records.

The summer’s intensity is now in full effect this April and so is Paolo’s streak of wonderful singles as he continues to heat up the OPM scene with new music.

“Hide & Seek” is a splendid track that shows off the young singer-songwriter’s intricate talent in crafting such a feel-good melody mixed with simple yet glamorous poetic lyrics.

Paolo says of the song: “’HIDE & SEEK’ is a song about fate. It’s about finding that person who makes all the heartbreaks and heartaches you’ve endured worth it. The ‘AHA’ moment of meeting someone who makes you go “where have you been all my life.”

The song captures his outlook about finally finding someone worthy of your attention and of course, love. With much exuberance, the singer elaborates that he’s now rooting for that special person while having high hopes for that someone to feel the same way too while dishing out lovely lines, “’Cause I’ve waited far too long / waited far too long to find you.”

“It was written in the context of two soulmates who finally meet. As trying to find your soulmate can often feel like a game of HIDE & SEEK, where you’re constantly searching for that right person, I really wanted to capture the feeling of pure bliss when you realize the game is finally over,” he adds.

4 tips to keep your printer well-maintained

Of all the important devices you have in your home and office, one thing you really can’t afford to break down on you at any time is your printer. There’s just too much that relies on a solid working printer, which is why it’s an absolute must to remember keeping it well-maintained at all times.

Fortunately, it’s not hard to keep your printer well-maintained. Just clean it regularly and make sure your ink is well-stocked, among other things. Here are four things to remember when you maintain your printer:

1. Don’t wait

The first thing to keep in mind is really to clean and maintain your printer as much as you can. Like maintaining a car, you shouldn’t wait until there’s something very wrong with your machine before you decide to maintain it. Preventive maintenance will help you make sure it runs smoothly all the time.

2. Use your printer often

Did you know that a printer that’s often working will be more likely to run smoothly? This means printing as much as you can, whenever you can instead of letting it gather dust.

3. Handle with care

When you’re handling your printer—meaning loading it with paper, ink, or simply cleaning it—make sure you handle it with care. Don’t force anything and clean it with a soft cloth. You don’t want to accidentally break any part of it, especially its interior.

4. Go to an authorized service center

If your printer does break down and it’s something you can’t seem to fix yourself, it’s best to let the experts do the fixing. Head to an authorized service center so that professionals can repair your machine, and that you make sure the best possible hands can fix its problems.

If you’ve got a Brother printer, you’re in luck—there are over 170 authorized Brother service centers nationwide. To find your nearest authorized Brother service center, simply head over to the Brother website and use the finder here.

LG Announces the Winners of the LG Ambassador Challenge

Over the past few months, LG Philippines has been collecting entries for the first-ever local iteration of the LG Ambassador Challenge. The initiative, which was started with Korea Friends of Hope International, is a first in the Philippines and affirms LG’s commitment to help deliver sustainable growth to local communities in the country. After reviewing all the entries, LG selected ‘Ride for Hope’ by Bahay Aruga and ‘Roof for Siargao’ by Red Charity Gala.

Bahay Aruga, which was founded in 2014, is a free halfway house for Pediatric Cancer patients of Philippine General Hospital (PGH). Most of the children need to be in PGH every week because of their long-term treatment, but the predicament they are facing is that they don't have a place to stay here in Manila. Hence, the halfway house was born. There are many cases that patients and parents slept on the sidewalk of the hospital to wait for the patients' next check-up and treatment. Sadly, many of them abandoned their treatment because of financial hardship. This is how the Bahay Aruga came into life. As endorsed by the Oncology department of PGH, patients with their parents or carer are fully accommodated at Bahay Aruga for free. These patients are given utmost consideration to make their stay comfortable, as cancer treatments can often be difficult and at times mind-boggling in terms of mentally, emotionally, financially, and otherwise. Recently, the matriarch of Bahay Aruga and who conceptualized the halfway house, Marietta Bonilla, passed away due to COVID-19. During these uncertainties, a family member made an assurance to its residents that Bahay Aruga will remain operating. The distance to PGH however, is still quite far and with Manila traffic and medical emergencies, every minute counts. The Ride for Hope project’s aim is to procure a new ambulance for the kids who need immediate medical response. Receiving the grant is Mr. Josefino B. Bonilla, Board of Director of Bahay Aruga ‘The daily battle of patients and carers are endless, but choosing Ride For Hope project, and with the new ambulance that we will be able to use, life will be more convenient and better for the pediatric cancer patients. Thank you, LG and KFHI for this program’.

Red Charity Gala (RCG) was started in 2009 by chairpersons Tessa Valdes and Kaye Tinga whose objectives have been to raise funds for numerous beneficiaries thru the celebration of Philippine fashion. In the last 11 years, they were able to raise over 30 million that have been distributed to Philippine Red Cross, Gifts & Graces, and Assumption HS 81 Foundation, among others. These funds have been used for relief efforts and community building in several provinces across the country. With the onset of the covid pandemic in 2020, thier mission was put on hold as we wait for better days to come. Jordan Valdes has been very much present in the RCG events and witnessed the generosity of its organizers, guests, and donors; making RCG the most awaited fashion charity event over the last decade. She was living in Siargao for six months when Typhoon Odette hit the province in December 2021. Having seen the destruction that was made to her second home, it became apparent that her kind-heartedness, generosity, and her exposure with RCG made her equipped to launch her own fundraising for those whose lives were in shambles after the typhoon. She initially asked for donations from her family and friends from Manila and all over to world to provide food & supplies for the typhoon victims. She was able to see firsthand how the houses were all destroyed. There was so little help coming in to help rebuild these people’s houses and lives. Two months after the storm, Jordan saw that there is still a lot to do for Siargao. In February, she went back to Manila in the hopes that she can raise more funds to help the communities in Siargao. Thus, the RCG Roof for Siargao project was born. As RCG evolves, they go back to the core of bringing people together: it is about giving hope, sharing our blessings, and empowering people to rebuild their lives. Ms. Kaye Tinga, co-founder of RCG was grateful to LG when she attended the awarding "The opportunity for Jordan Valdes to be chosen as an LG Ambassador can inspire young people to take the initiative to help improve other people’s lives. We thank LG for giving us Red Charity Gala, a unique opportunity to make a difference".

LG Philippines Managing Director Sungjae Kim shares his excitement about the two winners of the pioneer program “The LG Ambassador Program is the first in the Philippines and a part of LG’s commitment to help Filipinos through social contribution activities that deliver sustainable growth to local communities. We, together with Korea Friends of Hope International, would want to become arbiters of change and to help communities blossom. These two programs, Ride for Hope and Roof Siargao, are both in line with our brand values under an overarching vision that sees to achieve a better life for all. We stand behind their vision and we want to see more of what they can accomplish with this win”.

ABS-CBN, KROMA, and 917Ventures launch PH’s newest ‘tradigital’ entertainment channel in May

A
new era will dawn in Philippine entertainment
as the country’s leading content provider ABS-CBN, innovative entertainment company KROMA, and foremost corporate venture builder 917Ventures, introduce “tradigital” viewing to Filipinos through PIE, the Philippines’ first real-time and multi-screen interactive channel that will officially launch in May 2022.

PIE or Pinoy Interactive Entertainment offers Filipinos a digital upgrade to their traditional media consumption habits by allowing them to watch TV shows, join all-day contests, build following, and even steer the storyline of a teleserye across multiple screens including TV sets, laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.

On PIE, those in the audience are not just viewers but a well-engaged community that plays an active role in storytelling, game shows, and talk shows.

“Filipinos are very social. We love hanging out with our friends, doing activities together, and simply having fun together. But this kind of connection is something we abruptly lost at the onset of the pandemic. Filipinos long for collective fun, and PIE hopes to fill that gap,” said KROMA Entertainment CEO Ian Monsod.

PIE is bringing back the classic game show “Pera o Bayong” that takes on a new level with an interactive format and prizes given away every hour to viewers at home. It is also introducing the country’s first interactive teleserye “UZI,” and reality show “Palong Follow,” where viewers will work together to find the Philippines’ next big digital content creator.

The channel also has a roster of exciting shows that will invite viewers to take part and own: “Ekstra Ordinaryo,” “Bida Body Part” and “Playlist Natin.”

“Our goal as a company is to continue bringing pioneering digital solutions to Filipinos especially as the pandemic lingers. This time, with PIE, we want to bring our kababayans an entertainment experience they can share. We want Filipinos to have a new way to enjoy and celebrate everyday wins to help uplift them despite their daily battles. We want them to feel like we are still together even while physically apart,” said Vince Yamat, Managing Director of 917Ventures.

ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer of Broadcast Cory Vidanes said the company’s venture into PIE is testament to their organization’s boosted digital pivot.

“ABS-CBN is committed to bringing innovative content to as many Filipinos as possible, and in recent years, we have been engaging audiences more through a stronger digital presence and collaboration with various groups. Our partnership with PIE is a significant step in that direction and we’re looking forward to engaging with Kapamilyas in a whole new way,” said Vidanes.

Test broadcast of PIE began this month. Its revolutionary brand of entertainment will also be available 21/7 to everyone through YouTube. It will be accessible to some 11 million households with digital TV boxes in Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Zamboanga, Naga, Baguio and nearby provinces and to 85 Million digitally-connected Filipinos this May 2022. To find PIE, viewers may rescan their digiboxes now.
