Golden Haven’s Park Upgrades Surpass Expectations, Adds Value to Memorial Properties

Golden Haven Memorial Parks is pleased to inform current and prospective customers and investors that various aesthetic upgrades are being successfully implemented in its beautiful parks nationwide. These improvements were carefully executed to deliver an exceptional customer experience for Filipino families and investors seeking to purchase memorial properties.

Golden Haven’s upgrades began at its flagship property, Golden Haven Las Piñas, where a pet play area is now under construction. This unique pet-friendly feature sets Golden Haven apart in the memorial property sector, as it allows families to enjoy their park visits while their beloved pets, some of which may have belonged to their departed loved ones, can romp and play freely.

Meanwhile, Golden Haven Norzagaray’s Aero Columbarium has undergone a vibrant transformation. Collaborating with a talented artist, Golden Haven has infused the dome with striking colors and intricate designs inspired by the park's ‘jardin tropicale’ theme. This artistic masterpiece seamlessly blends artistry and nature’s beauty, offering a visually stunning tribute to those who have passed on.

Golden Haven Manaoag, renowned for its serene ambiance, has unveiled their latest masterpiece, the Romanesque-style Puerta Real. This architectural marvel, which takes inspiration from the classic landmarks of Ancient Rome, is envisioned to enhance visitors’ and memorial property owners’ overall experience.

Meanwhile, Golden Haven Amadeo now displays a vibrant hand-painted mural at its entrance. Called "Entresuelo de Baracco," the captivating artwork embodies the park's loving spirit and warmly welcomes all visitors. Visitors may also indulge in leisurely strolls on the park’s newly completed pathwalk that meanders through verdant landscapes.

Additionally, Golden Haven Amadeo’s investors and property buyers will enjoy ease of transactions during park visits when construction of its site office is finally completed.

Still on a roll, Golden Haven Padre Garcia and Golden Haven Liliw now boast artistic and cultural enhancements with the completion of their gates that are inspired by Japanese Minimalism and a “Pamana” theme, respectively.

The memorial park developer also shares that the construction of two new bridges at Island Lagoon in Golden Haven Cebu has been completed, adding to the park's beauty and enhancing visitors’ overall experience.

On the functional side, security and convenience are ensured at Golden Haven San Jose, where construction of a gate and guardhouse is underway. Golden Haven is likewise completing construction work on the gates and guard houses of Golden Haven Koronadal and Golden Haven Bukidnon.

Finally, preparations are underway to commence construction in Golden Haven Puerto and Iligan. Despite being recently launched, these parks are rapidly expanding their presence in the region, fulfilling Golden Haven’s vision of thematic beauty and tranquility.

Even as Golden Haven’s park upgrades are set to exceed expectations, it has more positive revelations to share: Golden Haven has transitioned over half of all its properties nationwide to solar energy. This eco-friendly initiative highlights the company's assurance of a sustainable future while providing investors with a valuable asset. Today, park visitors can indulge in the tranquil beauty of Golden Haven properties, knowing that the park operates entirely on clean energy.

Education consumes 51% of Filipino household income—WorldRemit

More than 51% of a Filipino household’s monthly income goes to covering educational costs, a new report by WorldRemit revealed.

The digital cross-borders app released its third year of global data and findings to understand how the cost of school supplies impact families around the world. The price of uniforms, stationery, and extra supplies like bags across 21 countries were compared from 2022 to 2023.

In the Philippines, the cost of school supplies rose by 16%.

“We have to think about frequency of use in relation to these school supplies. As children are more likely to go through stationery like a pencil quicker than wearing down a uniform, the higher cost adds up over time. And if there is more than one student in a household, these costs multiply accordingly,” said Earl Melivo, Head of Asia Pacific at WorldRemit.

According to Melivo, more remittances are sent from June and July to pay for tuition fees and school supplies in time for the opening of classes in August.

Amid global economic circumstances, 40% of observed countries are expected to pay more than their monthly income on school supplies. In countries outside of North America, Europe, and Australia, cost differences were far more drastic, where yearly changes averaged an increase of 78%.

Data from the United Nations states that 1 in 9 people worldwide rely on money sent from friends and relatives who have migrated abroad for work. According to Social Weather Stations, 7% of Filipino households have a family member working as an OFW, 75% say these OFWs regularly send money back home.

As of 2022, the Philippines had the third highest remittance inflows in the Asia and Pacific region at 11%.

“Education is one of the top reasons people send money back home. For Filipino families, especially those whose monthly income just suffices for daily needs, remittances from overseas supplement their ability to afford essential school supplies, as well as manage steep costs like tuition, transportation and childcare,” said Melivo.

UNIQLO Launches “Chainsaw Man x Kosuke Kawamura UT” Collection

Original designs exclusively for UT that merge the world of Chainsaw Man with the creative talents of Kosuke Kawamura

Global apparel retailer UNIQLO announces the launch of the “Chainsaw Man x Kosuke Kawamura UT” collection from its graphic T-shirt brand UT (UNIQLO T-shirt), on Friday, August 18.

Chainsaw Man is a TV anime produced by MAPPA, based on the manga series by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The story depicts the battles of Denji, a young boy Devil Hunter, who as he is dying makes a deal with the “Chainsaw Devil” and is resurrected as Chainsaw Man. The anime received a tremendously positive response immediately after its broadcast. This special collection, a collaboration with collage artist Kosuke Kawamura, dynamically and elaborately reconstructs the world of the anime.

A limited collection with a fresh take on the Chainsaw Man world

This UT collection of all-original designs brings together Chainsaw Man, a mighty hero who wields a chainsaw as he takes on enemies, with Kawamura’s “cut and rebuild" style. The lineup of men’s T-shirts is comprised of nine styles. For the graphic designs, Kawamura takes the original anime drawings and scenes, and gives them a new expression using his distinctive shredded art and collage style. In addition, both the short and long sleeve T-shirts have a street fashion style oversized silhouette jointly developed by Kawamura and UNIQLO. The striking art shines through, while a focus on ease of wearing completes this formidable collection.

Kosuke Kawamura said: “I used a lot of the original anime art and scenes for this collection. Since the drawings are very detailed, it was easy to expand the range of ideas as design material, and I was able to try various collage styles and methods. Even in the rough original drawings, the pictures themselves are well finished, and I felt that they could be used as-is for T-shirt designs. My aim was to create designs that long-time fans of Chainsaw Man could enjo
y as something a little different, and that people unfamiliar with the anime would want to wear as well.”

Profile of Kosuke Kawamura

Kosuke Kawamura (b. 1979 in Hiroshima Prefecture) is a collage artist who has held individual shows in Japan and overseas, while at the same time engaging in a wide range of activities such as collaboration with various companies. He was appointed Creative Director for UT in 2022.

After seeing stellar performances, Shihan Maui, known on the dance floor as Baby Titan, emerged as the dancer who took home the crown. His performance was nothing short of outstanding, captivating the audience with his unique style, precision, and artistic expression.

“Winning the regional tournament for Red Bull Dance Your Style competition is a lifelong dream fulfilled,” Maui said in an interview. “Since I was a child, I've been captivated by the power of dance and the thrill of competition. It's a testament to the unwavering belief in my abilities and the sacrifices made along the way.”

In addition to Baby Titan, three contestants proved to be standouts in the competition, earning their spots in the top 4. These included JPY, Taw, and Nemesis, who was also the competition’s only female finalist.

With Cebu’s regional qualifiers now over, eyes now turn to the regional qualifiers in the country’s capital of Manila. Set to happen on July 22 at URBN QC.

The top 4 finalists from each qualifier will eventually move on to the National Finals in September. From there, the winner of the National Finals will qualify for the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finals in Frankfurt, Germany in November.
