Filipino-Norwegian R&B star HILLARI headlines first solo show in Manila

The homecoming show aims to create space for reconnection through music

Filipino-Norwegian singer-songwriter HILLARI is set to headline her first solo show in the Philippines this September 21, 2025, at Sari-Sari bar in Makati City.

The rising R&B phenom will be performing an intimate set on the strength of her recently released 7-track EP, New Beginnings, which is described as a “bold body of work that explores transformation, letting go, and stepping into one’s power.”

HILLARI considers the show her official homecoming, reconnecting with her roots in an intimate way. “For me, it feels extra special to share my music with my people. Words cannot express how excited I am to do my first official headline show in Manila. To connect with my audience and my famHilly in a personal way and hear their stories.”

Fans can expect a full-band performance of songs from New Beginnings, alongside the debut live performance of her upcoming single “I’m Still.” The laid-back, soul-infused track serves as a reminder for people to “take a breather, slow their pace, and find beauty in stillness.”

“It’s the New Beginnings Experience: a space to sing, dance, laugh, and even cry together,” HILLARI describes her upcoming solo show. “It’s all about connecting on a deeper level with my famHilly. Maybe a surprise choir will join us, maybe not. But most of all, I’m excited to hear my famHilly sing their hearts out, [because] as we all know, our people can really sing.”

Tickets to HILLARI: Live in Manila are priced at PHP 800 and available exclusively at https://hillariliveinmanila.helixpay.ph.

This event is presented by AIRTIME and GNN.

About HILLARI

HILLARI is a rising global force in contemporary pop and R&B/Soul, known for her fearless artistry and deeply personal storytelling. She first captured attention with her breakout single “Desperate Soul” and her debut EP How Is Your Soul?, earning praise from outlets like Billboard US, CNN, and Complex Philippines. With a voice that resonates far beyond the studio, HILLARI has quickly established herself as a powerful live performer, playing shows across Norway, Sweden, France, Portugal, the U.S., Canada, and Southeast Asia. Her 2023 single “Loyal” climbed to #30 on the Philippines’ Top 200 Most Shazamed Songs and reached #10 on the Viral Top 50 chart. That same year, she was named NRK P3’s UrΓΈrt (Untouched artist of the year) artist and signed a global booking deal with United Talent Agency (UTA), further solidifying her place as one of the Nordics’ most exciting new exports.

Following her debut, HILLARI released her sophomore EP New Beginnings, a bold body of work that explores transformation, letting go, and stepping into one’s power. Described as a sonic journal, the seven-track EP showcased a more mature, self-assured artist and hinted at what’s to come.

Currently, HILLARI is working on her debut album, a carefully curated project featuring 8 to 10 tracks. She is collaborating closely with her main producer Morten Gillebo, alongside a trusted creative team that includes Yakob (6lack, Sza, Giveon), Etienne Edgar (Ella Mai, Janet Jackson), Reggie Becton, Terell Roper, and Ari PenSmith (Tyla, Beyonce, NAO). The album represents the next chapter in her evolution, more defined, more expansive, and unmistakably her. As she continues to build momentum, HILLARI has already earned nominations for Best New Artist and R&B/Soul at the Norwegian Grammys (Spellemann) and was nominated to 2024 Music Moves Europe Award. She has performed on major stages including a sold-out show at Oslo’s MUNCH Museum and has received airplay on BBC Radio (UK), NRK (NO), and Reprezent Radio (UK).

At just 20 years old, the Filipino-Norwegian singer-songwriter is redefining what it means to be an international artist from the Nordics. With each release, she invites listeners into a world that is vulnerable, bold, and undeniably her own. HILLARI’s music isn’t just something you hear, it's something you feel.

The Bloomfields to stage special 20th anniversary show this month!

The indie pop/rock quartet will be performing original songs off their three acclaimed albums, as well as favorite covers from back in the day

The Bloomfields are gearing up for a nostalgic trip through time with Byaheng Mahiwaga, a special 20th anniversary show happening on October 25, 2024, at Fin and Claw, Timog, Quezon City.

The psychedelic four-piece act will treat fans to a night of memorable music and fun as they perform some of the most iconic originals from their catalog, along with notable covers from their repertoire.

“We’re bringing fresh takes on our original tracks—songs from our debut album The Bloomfields, Hit the Ground Running, and A Drop into the Blue—plus a mix of our favorite covers over the years,” shares the Ale hitmakers. “You’ll also get a sneak peek at new sounds from our upcoming album, dropping next year.”

Byaheng Mahiwaga: The Bloomfields 20th Anniversary Gig maps their collective journey as a group who has gone through several challenges in their career and personal relationships but managed to surmount the odds and embrace each other’s quirks.

“Now we feel more confident in making our own decisions and navigating the industry independently as we've grown,” the Bloomfields explain in a press statement.

The Bloomfields describe turning 20 as a band as a realization of their dreams. According to the indie pop/rock quartet, the most fulfilling part of this journey has been discovering their sense of purpose. "Even though we've been playing together for so long, realizing that music is our calling keeps us inspired and motivated to create. This sense of purpose allows us to set aside our egos and fully commit to something bigger than ourselves, which has been key to our longevity in the local music scene.”

The highly anticipated event will include a full-length set from The Bloomfields, a performance by High Targets, a Motown-influenced ska/reggae band, and a special reunion with former bandmate Dino Pascual, who is preparing to launch his solo career next year.

Tickets are available via bloomfields.helixpay.ph.

Step into Dua Lipa’s Radical Optimism Experience in Glorietta!

Award-winning global popstar Dua Lipa has finally released her third album Radical Optimism, and it’s been getting critical acclaim ever since. Now, Filipino fans can enjoy the album on a whole new level this coming weekend with an interactive Radical Optimism Pop-Up happening at the Glorietta Activity Center.

A Dance-inducing Masterpiece

Radical Optimism makes it known early on just what type of album it is with the addicting “End Of An Era,” high-energy “Training Season,” and euphoric, club-ready “Houdini.” With this album, fans get eleven songs that can bring out anyone’s urge to groove and get lost in the music.

Dua herself describes Radical Optimism as “psychedelic pop,” noting that “there are musical breaks and a mix of different sounds, and when you listen to it with your eyes closed, it opens up a very visual world.”

The album was inspired by Dua’s own self-discovery and speaks to the pure joy and happiness of having clarity in situations that once seemed impossible to face. It’s a musical representation of how hard goodbyes and vulnerable beginnings can become milestones once you choose to see the brighter side of things. “It struck me – the idea of going through chaos gracefully and feeling like you can weather any storm,” she shared.

Rolling Stone has called this album “pop bliss,” while highlighting how it’s “uniquely and

utterly Dua Lipa: confident dance pop full of witty Instagram-caption-ready one-liners.”

Dua also recently returned to Saturday Night Live, where she was both the host and the musical guest for the night. She gave an electrifying version of “Illusion,” followed by a passionate performance of “Happy For You.”

An Experiential Pop-Up

Can’t get enough of the album? Experience it like never before with this week’s Radical Optimism event. This unique and immersive pop-up is set to bring all of Dua’s songs to life – to the point where dancing is the only option! Fans can go and see it for themselves when they visit the Glorietta Activity Center from May 17 to 19, anytime between 10 AM and 9 PM. They’ll be treated to themed photobooths, personalized memorabilia, and more!

Exciting things are happening for Dua, as she recently announced the first run of tour dates in support of Radical Optimism with shows in Berlin, Pula, and Nimes taking place in June. In addition, Dua will make her Pyramid Stage debut as the Friday night headliner at this year’s Glastonbury Festival on June 28th.

This pop powerhouse shows no signs of slowing down, and everyone’s excited to see even more performances and visuals for her new songs in the coming weeks.
