Jollibee brings jolliest bonding experience for families, kids, friends and all at the Jollitown Kiddie Fair!

Parents and kids create special jolly memories at the Jollitown Kiddie Fair

Kids and their parents had the jolliest time at the Jollitown Kiddie Fair, held recently at the SMX Convention Center. The event served as the jolliest bonding experience for families, with its engaging learning activities, unique games and challenges, interactive shows, and all-day, all-around fun helping create special memories they’ll remember for a long time.

Jollibee brand ambassadors Jolina Magdangal Escueta and her kids Pele and Vika, officially opened the Jollitown Kiddie Fair with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Jollibee team: Assistant Brand Manager for Noodles and Kids Category Justin Mathay, and PR, Partnership and Sustainability Head Dennis Reyes (third and fourth from left); and Marketing Director for Jollibee Noodles and Kids Category Joseph Aruta, and Brand Manager for Noodles and Kids Category Kat Facun (third and fourth from right). They are also joined by everyone's favorite friend, Jollibee, and Yum, Twirlie, Hetty, and Popo.

Jollibee has become a champion of joy for Filipino parents and kids throughout the years, and the Jollitown Kiddie Fair continues to give them more cherished moments. The event was opened by Jollibee’s brand ambassador, Jolina Magdangal Escueta, and her kids, Pele and Vika. She and her kids got to participate and have fun in all the event activities, while also getting interviewed about being a mother and brand ambassador.
Jolina shared her favorite Jollibee memories as a child and how she is recreating them with her kids Pele and Vika.

“I’m so excited to be here at the Jollitown Kiddie Fair, having fun with my kids,” said Jolina. “Time passes so quickly, so I make sure that I spend quality time and make meaningful memories with Pele and Vika every chance I get.
Yum, Hetty, Jollibee, Twirlie and Popo shared the joy with the kids and their families, and wowed them with a very energetic dance number.

Kat Facun, Jollibee Brand Manager for Noodles and Kids Category, said that they designed the Jollitown Kiddie Fair so that kids and their parents can do the fun yet educational activities together, building meaningful memories as they did.

“Jollibee is honored to be a part of many Filipinos’ core memories, from childhood to adulthood,” said Kat Facun, Jollibee Brand Manager for Noodles and Kids Category. “And with the Jollitown Kiddie Fair, we hope to give kids and their families more reasons to have happy, cherished moments because jolliest ang kids sa Jollibee.”

Kids served Chickenjoy and made their own Jolly Spaghetti and Yumburgers with their parents at the MiniBee station

The event offered activities where kids not only enjoyed with their friends, families, and fellow kids, but also engaged in unique family-friendly challenges that helped them learn along the way through creative play. Kids got a chance to make their own Jolly Spaghetti, Yumburger, and test their store manager skills in the MiniBee station as they had fun assembling delicious Jollibee food for their friends and parents. They also had the Party Palooza, which was an energetic all-day party celebration that had a whole host of games and activities that offered the full party experience.

The Jollitown Kiddie Fair also offered activities that challenged their skills, like the Chickenjoy Bucket Throw game where they tested their aim to win prizes, and avoided spaghetti-shaped wires in the Spag-o-wired game. Kids also solved different puzzles in the Jollitown Puzzle House, which was also a fun learning challenge and an interactive experience for kids of all ages. They also uncovered fun prizes in the Fry-nd The Treasure activity, while other kids tried to grab theirs at Yum’s Claw Machine.

Alongside the many activities and fun games, kids also got to watch an incredible set of shows happening on the main stage. This includes the bubble show where kids rushed to the stage to get closer to participate in blowing and popping bubbles. The magic show had jaw-dropping tricks that left kids in awe with each routine. The Dancing Balloon Show by Tectonix was also a highlight, as kids were dancing along to the music while being fascinated by the many balloon tricks.

Aside from the activities, parents and kids enjoyed delicious Jollibee food. This included sweet-sarap Jolly Spaghetti, which families enjoyed so much during the event. With delicious food and the jolliest activities, the Jollitown Kiddie Fair gave families moments to remember, and memories that they cherish together.

DTI innovates with 2021 Hybrid National Food Fair to bolster food entrepreneurs

With the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the DTI-Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion is introducing innovations to help Filipino MSMEs recover and thrive in the new normal. This year, the 2021 Hybrid National Food Fair will combine the excitement of the traditional, physical event with the advantages and flexibility of a digital, online event.

In addition to the usual food fair held at a Metro Manila mall, the virtual components of the 2021 Hybrid National Food Fair allow the participation of exhibitors and visitors who could not be physically present due to travel restrictions and health protocols. Also, while the physical fair is slated to run for only 10 days from September 16 to 27, 2021, the online events are spaced across several months, thus providing the participating MSMEs with sustained market exposure for the whole year.

MSME Webinar Series

To help MSMEs prepare for the 2021 Hybrid National Food Fair and equip them skills to hurdle new challenges in growing their business, the Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion and the Philippine Trade Training Center organized a free webinar series covering the following topics:
· Digital Payment Workshop for MSMEs

· Penetrating Domestic Market thru Online Platform

· Facebook Business Page Development

· Click and Close: Social Media Navigation for Successful Negotiation

· Online Visual Merchandising

· Negotiating with Buyer (Covering Customer Service, Business Pitching)

The webinar series was held via Zoom and Facebook Live last May 5 to 7, 2021, and reached 24,200 views on social media.

Online National Food Fairs and Digital Promotions

SHOPEE.PH. Held last May 10 to 16, the Online National Food Fair on the Shopee PH platform showcased 3,500 products from 278 MSME Stores and the Go Lokal Official Store. Featured products included sweets, snacks, staples, breakfast food, superfood/healthy food, beverages, seasonings, and baking ingredients, among others. As of May 31, the campaign generated 2,900 orders equivalent to sales of PHP 1.61-million for the participating MSMEs. Having been onboarded to the online shopping platform, all Shopee Stores of the MSMEs remain accessible as permanent online stores. Shopee is the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan.

MAYANI.PH. Another online venue for the Online National Food Fair is Mayani, a farm-to-table e-commerce platform focused mainly on agricultural products. Held periodically since June 2021, buyers can enjoy up to 30% markdowns on featured food and artisan products when shopping on www.mayani.ph/NFF. Fresh vegetables, fruits and upland crops from the Cordillera Administrative Region were marketed and sold online for the benefit of farmer cooperatives and indigenous people’s organizations under the DTI-led Integrated Natural Resources Environmental Management Project – Livelihood Enhancement Support 2.

LAZADA. Scheduled for August 8 to 12 as part of the Lazada Love Local 8.8 Sale, this Online National Food Fair will include 74 participating MSMEs from 13 regions nationwide. Featured products will consist of processed food and beverages, cooked food, halal products and cuisine, Filipino snacks, food packaging materials, condiments and other cooking ingredients, among others. MSME sellers who qualify will be onboarded to the Lazada platform for free. To promote the event, Lazada will livestream cooking demonstrations by Chef Oliver John Gomez, an alumnus of the Center for Culinary Arts who combines his culinary expertise with a passion for organic agriculture production. LazLive will also feature a mukbang session showcasing food products from the MSME Stores on Lazada. Mark your calendars and don't miss out, by clicking on https://www.lazada.com.ph/88-shop-local/.

NFF DIGITAL STORE. Also set to launch within the year is the NFF Digital Store hosted on UnionBank GlobalLinker, an e-commerce platform that allows MSMEs to connect to local and global B2B and B2C partners, suppliers, and customers. The integrated NFF Digital Store will give participating MSMEs access to functionalities and networks to help grow and manage their business. The NFF Digital Store will be another venue for food entrepreneurs to have a permanent presence online, thus expanding their market reach even beyond local borders and despite restricted movement. One hundred MSMEs are set to be among the initial exhibitors in the NFF Digital Store.

Physical National Food Fair

Tentatively scheduled for September 16 to 27, the 2021 National Food Fair will be held at the Festival Mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. The exhibitor booths will be spread out across the Carousel Court, the Event Hall, and the Civic Drive Hallway of the mall.

A wide range of food products will be available during the event, including processed food and beverages, fresh produce and organic products, fresh and dried seafood, cooked food, halal products and cuisine, condiments and other cooking ingredients, dairy products, health and wellness products, food supplements, traditional cooking tools/equipment, food packaging materials and allied products, baskets and bayongs, labeling and food processing equipment, and even label and packaging design services.

Lamudi Housing Fair Goes to Cebu

Lamudi is bringing together property seekers and sellers in the Queen City of the South with the launch of the Cebu Housing Fair

Find your dream property at the Lamudi Housing Fair in Cebu

MANILA, 10 August 2018—All roads lead to Cebu as the Lamudi Housing Fair sets up at the Queen City of the South on September 8 and 9, 2018 at Ayala Center in Cebu City. Designed to bring property buyers and sellers together, this open-for-all housing fair will feature some of the biggest property brands of the country.

A first for Lamudi

Cebu’s economy has been displaying massive growth for years, driven mainly by tourism and the information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) industries. According to the Department of Tourism, Central Visayas saw the arrival of over 6.3 million local and foreign tourists in 2017, with Cebu being the top travel hub of the region. Also, the Cebu IT-BPM Organization estimated that Cebu had between 150,000 and 160,000 IT-BPO workers by the end of last year, and that the Cebu City government is targeting the generation of 200,000 jobs in the industry by next year.

The presence of multiple economic zones, where companies enjoy various business incentives, has been attracting major investors, particularly in the IT-BPM sector. Moreover, the recent opening of the new Mactan-Cebu International Airport is projected to increase tourist arrivals and business investments into the province.

Hence, according to Lamudi CEO and Managing Director Bhavna Suresh, the decision to hold the brand’s next housing fair in the province was an easy one to make. With all past housing fairs being hosted in Metro Manila, the Cebu leg of Lamudi’s housing fair series will be the first provincial event for the leading online property portal.

“The massive growth of Cebu City has prompted real estate developers to catch up and supply the much-needed residential, commercial, and retail spaces for home and business relocators. As we have witnessed so far, many of the most prominent names in the property industry have already made a mark in the province through various projects, from condos and subdivisions to townships and business parks,” Suresh explained.

“Lamudi believes that now is the best time to be the stage upon which buyers and sellers can interact and explore the opportunities presented by the flourishing Cebu real estate landscape,” she added.

Home buyers and property seekers at the Lamudi Affordable Housing Fair last June 30-July 1, 2018 at Glorietta.

What to expect

Aspiring new homeowners and real estate investors can look forward to completed and upcoming projects by Primehomes, Ortigas & Company, RFK Holdings, DMCI Homes, Aboitizland Inc., Primary Homes, Softouch Property Development Corp., Avida Land, Contempo Property Holdings, King Properties, and Priland Development Corporation, among others.

UnionBank and RCBC Savings Bank will also be present for buyers in need of home loan assistance to purchase a property.  Plus, the Land Registration Authority will be on hand to give attendees an update on the recent efforts of the agency in terms of protecting land owners.

Aside from being able to inquire directly about the properties on display, buyers can also take advantage of promos and discounts to be offered during the event.

In addition, real estate brokers attending the event will have the opportunity to market their brand and properties through on-the-spot registration to the website, where they can begin uploading their properties to be viewed by Lamudi’s online visitors. Real estate online sales training sessions will also be offered to brokers who are looking to increase lead generation and sales numbers.

“It is indeed an exciting undertaking for Lamudi, and one that we hope to carry out again in the coming years,” Suresh stated.

Join us for two days of property showcases, real estate auctions, and real estate online sales trainings sessions for real estate sales professionals at the Lamudi Housing Fair Cebu happening at the Ayala Center Cebu Exhibit Center on September 8-9, 2018 from 10AM to 10PM. For more information about one of the most exciting housing events of the year, visit the official website.

Sunday, March 18 : (10:30am – 12:00nn) FILPET Inc. – Packaging Technology.

By bringing food entrepreneurs from all over the country into a single venue, the Sikat Pinoy National Food Fair generates not just retail business from consumers but is also an order-taking event where institutional buyers and traders discover new items for their supermarket shelves, and hotels and restaurants meet new producers and negotiate with existing suppliers.

According to DTI-BDTP Director Rhodora M. Leaño, “In 2013, for the first Sikat Pinoy National Food Fair, the department set what was then an ‘ambitious’ goal of Php 15-million in cash and booked sales. Last year, we were able to record revenues of Php 42.17 million from over 52,000 fair goers. That is an increase of almost triple in just five years, an outstanding measure of success by any standard, and a very encouraging sign for MSMEs in the food sector.”

The Sikat Pinoy National Food Fair is open from 10:00am – 9:00pm on March 14 to 18, 2018. Admission is free.

Blue Market : Weekend Markets at Ateneo

Here's fun, festive, exciting, and enriching experience, and many things to different people!
In celebration of our silver jubilee, we, the Ateneo de Manila High School Class of 1987, bring you the Blue Market - a weekend fair with a twist. Not unlike the usual Saturday-Sunday bazaars full of great deals, curious finds, and gastronomic delights, the Blue Market serves up all that, and so much more. It is a special batch fundraising project, in support of social entrepreneurs, student business initiatives, and similar micro enterprises, for the benefit of the Tulong-Dunong Foundation and the Philippine Province of the Society of Jesus.

Beyond providing a venue for buyers and sellers to come together, the Blue Market is a vehicle for helping social enterprises and student ventures take off at minimal cost, with a ready clientele. As a natural draw for members of the Ateneo community, as well as residents of neighboring villages such as Xavierville, La Vista, and the like, the Blue Market easily assures these incubating endeavors of a constant and loyal customer base. This gives them instant access to a large group of shoppers with tremendous purchasing power, and affords them a unique opportunity to understand, interact and build relationships with a broader spectrum of consumers they would otherwise have little chance of tapping.

For some, an innovative product or a particularly worthy advocacy may find favor with benefactors willing to throw their full support to see such ideas and undertakings to fruition. Aside from this, the Blue Market is also a valuable marketing resource. It can provide significant exposure to the various social enterprises via its website, and promote their products and services to an infinitely wider audience.

For market-goers, this is a chance for spending time with family, touching base with old friends, forging new partnerships, relaxing, unwinding, and sharing blessings while making great new finds and savoring the joys of shopping. It is a simple yet effective outlet for lending support to young companies and apostolate communities, and in so doing, taking part in nation-building and the empowerment of the less fortunate.

The Blue Market is many things to different people. It is a unique and solid launch pad for young, commercial undertakings. It is a practical learning lab for budding entrepreneurs. It is an arena for giving back to the community. It is a fun, festive, exciting, and enriching experience, where everyone can answer the Ignatian call towards being men and women for others.

The Blue Market, a fundraiser by the Ateneo de Manila High School Batch of `87, takes place November 17-18, and 24-25, between gates 1 and 2 of the Ateneo de Manila parking lot in front of the Blue Eagle Gym, right along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City.
